SHUKALB has planned to deliver two Capacity Development products in the framework of the “Regional Capacity Development Network (RCDN) for Water and Sanitation Services”, during April and May 2020.

On 9 April 2020, SHUKALB will deliver for the 1st time a 1-day workshop on “Introductory Integrated Asset Management”.  The overall objective of the training is on the participants recognizing the need for and benefits of effective Integrated Asset Management (IAM) of Water and Sanitation Services (WSS) infrastructure and identifying how to plan and implement key IAM activities at the Local Government Unit (LGU) level.

The training will address the General Aspects, Legal Aspects and Institutional Aspects of Integrated Asset Management, and is particular targeted to LGU decision makers (mayors, speakers, and councillors), staff of LGU departments responsible for communal affairs (water services), PUC top and middle management, line agencies and regulators from Albania.

On 5-6-7 May 2020, SHUKALB has planned to deliver the three-day training on “Capital Infrastructure Investment Projects in the Water Sector” for Municipal and PUC Middle Management and Project Implementation Unit Staff.

The objective of the training is to enable participants to carry out complex infrastructure investment projects, and to provide the participants with the necessary framework, general knowledge and skills in regard to:

  • Carry out necessary preparations for infrastructure investment project implementation,
  • Develop all elements of future infrastructure investment projects, and
  • Implement all stages of an infrastructure investment project.

The introductory training will target the Municipal middle management in charge of Project implementation, and middle management of PUCs, such as, heads of relevant sectors/units; technical, legal, financial) and Project Implementation Unit staff involved in the implementation and monitoring of technical, legal and financial aspects of capital infrastructure investment projects. Furthermore, representatives from the line Ministry and Agency will be invited.
