During June 2021, SHUKALB delivered successfully the “Water Quality in the Water Distribution” and the “Financial Management for Non-Financial Managers” training courses.
The “Water Quality in the Water Distribution” training was delivered on 16-17 June at Grand Hotel Tirana, with the participation of 16 chemists, biologists, technical engineers and managers of the commercial department of water supply and sewerage companies of Tirana, Shkodra, Kamza, Korca and Saranda.
Participants improved their skills and knowledge on key topics such as, water quality consideration in distribution system, quality degradation in distribution system, water mains and storage facilities, system surveillance and water quality monitoring program, cross connection control and process of disinfection.
The training was delivered by Eng. Pirro Cenko, Freelance Consultant in the field of water supply and sewerage and Prof. Dr. Tania Flloqi, Lecturer at the European University of Tirana. The training was highly appreciated by all participants, who emphasized the refreshment of their knowledge and the discussions and exchanges of practices that were generated between participants and trainers during the training.
The “Financial Management for Non-Financial Managers” training course was delivered on 23-24 June, at Grand Hotel Tirana, with the participation of the accountants, supervisors, managers of economic, tax and commercial departments, as well as administrator from water supply and sewerage companies of Tirana, Shkodra, Lezha and Gjirokastra.
Participants improved their skills and knowledge on key topics such as, financial management, accounting basics, service cost and capital planning.
The training was delivered by Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mirela Miti, Lecturer at Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana. The training was considered very valuable by all participants, emphasizing both the shared knowledge and the sharing of practices between them.
