Albania-Hungary: Connecting Business and Water Professionals Conference

Me datë 10 Prill, Ambasada Hungareze, Shoqata Hungareze e Ujësjellësve (MaVíz), Ujësjellësi i Budapestit, në bashkëpunim me Shoqatën Ujësjellës Kanalizime të Shqipërisë (SHUKALB), organizuan Konferencën me titull “Shqipëri – Hungari: Sjellim së Bashku Profesionistët e Biznesit dhe Ujit”, në Plaza Hotel, në Tiranë.

Me një audiencë prej mbi 200 pjesëmarrësish, Konferenca e arriti objektivin e saj duke ofruar një platformë efektive për diskutim, forcimin e bashkëpunimit dhe transferimin e njohurive ndërmjet profesionistëve të biznesit dhe ujit të të dyja vendeve.

Në konferencë morën pjesë përfaqësues nga institucione të ndryshme të të dy vendeve, si ministri, bashki, agjenci qeveritare, shoqëri ujësjellës kanalizime, kompani private, banka, profesionistë të sektorit të ujit, si dhe biznesmenë të ndryshëm.

Konferenca u hap nga bashkë-kryetarët e Komisionit të Përbashkët Ekonomik Shqipëri-Hungari, përfaqësuar nga Znj. Adela Karapici, Zv. Ministre, Ministria e Zhvillimit Ekonomik, Turizmit, Tregtisë dhe Sipërmarrjes dhe Z. Levente Magyar, Ministër i Shtetit për Diplomacinë Ekonomike, Ministria e Punëve të Jashtme dhe Tregtisë së Hungarisë.  Të dy ministrat vlerësuan rëndësinë e eventit dhe theksuan vullnetin e mirë të ministrive të tyre përkatëse për forcimin e bashkëpunimit ekonomik mes dy vendeve.

Konferenca vazhdoi me nënshkrimin e Memorandumeve të Mirëkuptimit ndërmjet disa institucioneve si:

Memorandumi midis SHUKALB dhe MaViz u nënshkrua nga Z. Petrit Tare, Kryetar i SHUKALB dhe Znj. Edit Nagy, Sekretare e Përgjithshme e MaViz.  Memorandumi i Mirëkuptimit ka për qëllim transferimin e njohurive dhe shkëmbimin e përvojave në fushën e furnizimit me ujë, grumbullimit dhe trajtimit të ujërave të ndotur dhe menaxhimit të llumrave midis dy shoqatave.

Sipas axhendës, konferenca u shpërnda në një forum biznesi shumë sektorial në një sallë të veçantë, ku kompanitë private të pranishme patën mundësinë të takoheshin me njëri-tjetrin dhe institucione të ndryshme.

Elementi i Konferencës mbi Sektorin e Ujit vijoi në sallën kryesore me fjalimet e të ftuarve të veçantë, Z. Sokol Dervishaj, Ministër i Transportit dhe Infrastrukturës së Shqipërisë dhe Z. István Joo, Komisioner Ministror për Diplomaci në fushën e ujit, eksportit dhe strategjisë në Rajonin e Danubit, Ministria e Punëve të Jashtme dhe Tregtisë së Hungarisë.  Ministri Dervishaj, foli mbi gjendjen e sektorit të ujit në Shqipëri dhe rret investime të shumta që ka ndërmarrë qeveria shqiptare në përpjekje për përmirësimin e sektorit.

Fjalimet e mirëseardhjes, u mbajtën nga Z. Philip D. Giantris, Drejtor Ekzekutiv i SHUKALB dhe Znj. Edit Nagy, Sekretare e Përgjithshme e MaViz.  Z. Giantris shprehu vlerësimin e tij mbi iniciativën për bashkëpunimin dypalësh dhe rëndësinë e shkëmbimit të njohurive dhe përvojave midis dy shoqatave.  Ai e krahasoi bashkëpunimin Shqiptaro-Hungarez si një martesë e cila nuk duhet të jetë marrëdhënie e një anëshme, duke marrë parasysh diferencat ekonomike të të dy vendeve.  Për më tepër, ai deklaroi se SHUKALB, nëpërmjet punës së shkëlqyer të tij, veçanërisht në zhvillimin e Programit të tij të Trajnimit dhe nismës se Certifikimit bazuar ne testim, si dhe shumë aktivitete të tjera, ka fituar respektin e shoqatave të tjera të ujit në rajon dhe më gjerë, si një shembull i mirë për t’u ndjekur në praktikat e tij më të mira.

Konferenca vazhdoi me prezantimet e Z. Arduen Karagjozi, Drejtor i Drejtorisë së Ekselencës, Zyra e Kryeministrit – Sekretariati Teknik i Këshillit Kombëtar të Ujit, Z. Arben Pambuku, Drejtor i Politikave të Ujit, Ministria e Bujqësisë, Zhvillimit Rural dhe Administrimit të Ujërave, Z. Ndriçim Shani, Kryetar i Entit Rregullator të Ujit, dhe Z. Csaba Haranghy, Drejtor Ekzekutiv i Ujësjellësi i Budapestit.[:en]

On the 10th of April, the Embassy of Hungary, the Hungarian Water Utility Association (MaVíz), and the Budapest Waterworks Utility, in collaboration with the Water Supply and Sewerage Association of Albania (SHUKALB), organized a Conference titled “Albania-Hungary: Connecting Business and Water Professionals”, at PlazaHotel, in Tirana.  With an audience of over 200 participants, the Conference reached its goal to provide an effective platform for discussion, and to strengthen the cooperation and knowledge transfer between the water professionals and businesses of the two countries.

The Conference was attended by participants from different institutions from countries such as ministries, municipalities, government agencies, water utilities, private companies, water sector professionals, banks, and different businessmen.

The Conference was opened by the Co-Chairs of the Hungarian-Albanian Joint Economic Cooperation, represented by Ms. Adela Karapici, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Entrepreneurship of Albania and Mr. Levente Magyar, Minister of State for Economic Diplomacy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.  Both ministers praised the importance of this event and stressed the good will of their respective ministries for strengthening the economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Conference continued with the signing of Memorandum of Understandings between different institutions such as:

• SHUKALB and the Hungarian Water Utility Association (MaViz)
• Ministry of National Development of Hungary and the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Entrepreneurship of Albania

• 

  MNKH Hungarian National Trading House and Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA)

• Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Business Albania
• Global Sport Kft Hungary and Ardian Cani (Sports Turf Albania)

The Memorandum of Understanding between SHUKALB and MaViz was signed by Mr. Petrit Tare, President of SHUKALB and Ms. Edit Nagy, Secretary General of MaViz.  The aim of the MoU is the knowledge transfer and exchange of experience in the fields of water supply, wastewater collection, wastewater treatment and sewage sludge management between the two Associations.

As per the agenda, the Conference then broke up into two tracks with a multi-sectoral business forum taking place in a different room private companies had the opportunity to meet with each other and different institutions.

The Water Sector element of the Conference continued in the main room with the speeches by the special guests, Mr. Sokol Dervishaj, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Albania, and Mr. István Joó, Ministerial Commissioner for Water Diplomacy, Export and the Danube Region Strategy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.  Minister Dervishaj, spoke about the state of the water sector in Albania and on the many investments undertaken by the Albanian government in efforts to improve the sector.

The welcome speeches, where held by Mr. Philip D. Giantris, Executive Director of SHUKALB and Ms. Edit Nagy, Secretary General of MaViz.  Mr. Giantris expressed his appreciation for the initiative for bi-lateral cooperation and the importance of the knowledge transfer and exchange of experience between the two Associations.  He compared the Albanian-Hungarian cooperation as a marriage which should not be a one sided relationship, taking into consideration the differences in the economic development of the two countries.  Furthermore, he stated that SHUKALB, through its excellent work, especially on the development of its Training Program and Test-Based Certification initiatives, as well as many other activities, has earned the respect of the other water associations in the region and beyond, as a good example to be followed and to be replicated in its best practices.

The Conference continued with presentations by Mr. Arduen Karagjozi, Director of Directory of Excellence in the Office of the Technical Secretariat of the National Waater Council, at the Prime Ministery; Mr. Arben Pambuku, Director of Water Policies, Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Water Administration of Albania; Mr. Ndriçim Shani, Chairman, Albanian Water Regulatory Commission; and Mr. Csaba Haranghy, Chief Executive Officer, Budapest Water Works.[:]
