SHUKALB Presents in The Hague, Netherlands at “Doing Business in the Western Balkans” Forum

[:sq]Në datë 1 qershor, Qeveria Holandeze organizoi një seminar një ditor me titull, “Të bësh Biznes në Ballkanin Perëndimor” në ambientet e Agjencisë Holandeze të Ndërmarrjeve (RVO).  Qëllimi i seminarit ishte t’u prezantohej kompanive dhe investitorëve holandezë mundësitë e biznesit në Ballkanin Perëndimor në sektorë të ndryshëm si turizmi, uji, agrobiznesi, industria tekstile dhe energjia.

Fjalimet hapëse u mbajtën nga Z. Guido Landheer, Zëvendës Drejtor i Përgjithshëm për Marrëdhëniet Ekonomike me Jashtë, Ministria e Punëve të Jashtme të Holandës, Z. Bas Pulles, Drejtor i Programeve Ndërkombëtare, RVO, si dhe Znj. Dewi van de Weerd, Ambasadorja e Holandës në Shqipëri.

E ftuar nga Ambasada e Holandës në Shqipëri, Zëvendës Drejtorja Ekzekutive e SHUKALB, Znj. Elisabeta Poçi, prezantoi një pasqyrë të sfidave si dhe mundësitë që ekzistojnë për kompanitë dhe investitorët e interesuar në Sektorin e Ujit të Ballkanit Perëndimor.  Në prezantimin e saj, znj. Poci theksoi në njërën anë nevojën për “know-how” dhe ngritje të kapaciteteve për përmirësimin e performancës së shoqërive ujësjellës kanalizime në rajon, dhe nga ana tjetër sfidat e trajtimit të ujërave të ndotur lidhur me prioritizimin e investimeve dhe përzgjedhjen e teknologjive të përshtatshme dhe të qëndrueshme.

Znj. Poçi gjithashtu përçoi, gjatë shkëmbimeve që pati me përfaqësuesit e kompanive që ishin të pranishëm në seminar, se SHUKALB mbetet i gatshëm t’u ofrojë informacion dhe mundësi për networking përmes programeve dhe aktiviteteve të tij, kompanive holandeze dhe të tjerëve që janë të interesuar të eksplorojnë dhe investojnë në sektorin e ujit në Shqipëri.  Sektori privat aktualisht është i përfaqësuar mirë në strukturat qeverisëse të SHUKALB, dhe SHUKALB e sheh si vendimtar shkëmbimin midis sektorit privat dhe atij publik, në mënyrë që të përmbushë sfidat e sotme si dhe ato të ardhshme të sektorit të ujit në nivel kombëtar dhe global.[:en]On June 1^st, the Dutch Government organized a one day seminar titled, “Doing Business in The Western Balkans” at the premises of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) in The Hague.  The purpose of the seminar was to inform Dutch companies and investors relative to the business opportunities in the Western Balkans in different sectors such as tourism, water, agribusiness, textiles and energy.

The opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Guido Landheer, Deputy Director-General for Foreign Economic Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Mr. Bas Pulles, Director of International Programmes, RVO, as well Ms. Dewi van de Weerd, Netherlands Ambassador to Albania.

Invited by the Netherlands Embassy to Albania, the Deputy Executive Director of SHUKALB, Ms. Elisabeta Poci, presented an overview of the challenges, as well as the opportunities, that exist for companies and investors interested in the Water Sector of the Western Balkans.  In her presentation, Ms. Poci emphasized, on one hand, the need for know-how and capacity building for performance improvement of the water and wastewater utilities in the region, and on the other hand, the challenges of wastewater treatment related to prioritizing of investments and selection of appropriate and sustainable technologies.

Ms. Poci also conveyed, during the exchanges with company representatives present at the seminar, that SHUKALB remains available to provide information and networking opportunities through its programs and activities to Dutch companies and others that are interested to explore and invest in the water sector in Albania.  The private sector is already well represented in SHUKALB’s government structures and SHUKALB sees as crucial the exchange between the private and the public sector, in order to meet the todays as well as the future challenges of the water sector at the national as well as global level.[:]
