SHUKALB and SHUKOS Organize the Annual Joint Meeting of Trainers

On 26 February 2021, SHUKALB in collaboration with SHUKOS organized online the Annual Joint Meeting of Trainers. This meeting is a tradition of the SHUKALB and SHUKOS Joint Training Program, and it was also organized in the framework of both associations’ engagement in the Regional Capacity Development Network (RCDN) Project.

The meeting was attended by 43 trainers from Albania and Kosovo, who represented professionals from water and wastewater utilities, academia, as well as free-lance consultants.  The meeting was moderated by Joshua Miekley, Business Consultant, Lincoln Center.

The aim of the meeting was for SHUKALB and SHUKOS to share information with the pool of trainers, and to allow for an exchange among the trainers themselves as well as both associations with the trainers around the capacity development programs and activities organized by SHUKALB and SHUKOS at national and regional level.

During the meeting the trainers were introduced to the capacity development programs offered, as well as the future plans of the associations regarding these programs and the possibilities of their engagement. The trainers were very active during the discussion sessions by sharing their comments and suggestions about the capacity development programs. Furthermore, the trainers discussed among each other in smaller groups, where they exchanged ideas about how they can strengthen their commitment and work with the Associations, and what the Associations can do for them to support their role and experience as a trainer.[:]
