SHUKALB Attends RCDN Kick-off Meeting “Relaunch of the Waste Water CD Programmes”

On 15 March 2022, the Regional Capacity Development Network (RCDN) Project organized online the Relaunch Kick-off meeting for the elaboration of RCDN Waste Water (WW) CD Programmes.

The objective of the meeting was to ensure a proper and common understanding and clarify the overall methodology and validation process of RCDN WW CD Programmes as well as to agree on key elements of the implementing approach.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the RCDN partner associations, GIZ and consultants. SHUKALB was represented at the meeting by Elisabeta Poci, Executive Director and Jonida Ahmeti, Training Manager, SHUKALB.  Albania has been selected as a country to pilot the capacity development programme titled “Introduction to Wastewater Systems for managers and engineers” which targets the utilities and municipalities which are under the preparation and implementation of the wastewater infrastructure.

The proposed structure, work packages and responsibilities and work schedule of the WW CD Programmes were presented and intensively discussed by the participants. The participants also reflected on the curricula and modules per pilot country and proposed approach for implementation with regard to the capacitation of WW local experts, pilot delivery, collection & systematisation of lessons learnt and involvement of the partner associations.[:]
