SHUKALB Opens the Call for Sponsorship for its Most Popular Education and Awareness “Friends of Water” Program

SHUKALB is preparing to start the implementation of its most popular and IWA award winning outreach program, “Friends of Water”, implemented since 2007, under an agreement and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth of Albania. Since its start, the Program has reached out to over 35,000 children of 3^rd grade across Albania.

The overall objective of the Friends of Water Program is to increase the awareness amongst 3^rd grade elementary school students regarding water issues through a very interesting and inter-active program combining instruction on key learning principles regarding water, with work activities that engage the students and reinforce the learning principles.

SHUKALB has made a commitment of resources and time to develop this program for the common good of all Albania.  However, the program has financing needs that the Association is not in a position to fulfill.  SHUKALB is soliciting for financial support from key commercial entities or other donor agencies, that can identify with the importance of conserving and protecting our nature waters and the way that we use them.

Program sponsors will be provided with a number of opportunities, throughout the duration of the program, to be identified as a responsible business in support of the Children’s Water Education Program, as follows:

• Logo displayed on all teaching materials and children’s work books.
• Logo displayed on all official drawing sheets to be used by the participating children to prepare their water issue drawing.
• Invited participant at the “Art Exhibit” of the best drawings from across Albania, to be held in November 2024 next to the Annual Balkans Joint Conference & Exhibition, with large sponsor logo displays.
• Logo display on all printed calendars for the Year 2025.

All sponsors, at the end of 2024, will receive a full accounting of the value of the total sponsorships received and a detailed accounting of the use of the funds to implement the program.
