New Investments in Vlora’s Water Supply Network – Works in Babicë e Madhe and the Former Cement Factory Area
Investments to improve the water supply network continue at a steady pace across the territory of the Municipality of Vlora. Vlora Regional Water Supply and Sewerage Company aims to modernize the water supply infrastructure in key areas of the city and its surrounding administrative units.
During October 2025, two major investments were carried out — in the village of Babice e Madhe, part of the Administrative Unit Qender, and in the area of the former Cement Factory within the city of Vlora.
In Babice e Madhe, work teams have started replacing the old and fully depreciated water supply line with a new HDPE pipeline of 90 mm diameter, ensuring a more stable and higher-quality water supply for the residents of the area.
Meanwhile, in the former Cement Factory area, the old steel pipeline has been replaced with a new HDPE pipeline of 160 mm diameter, over a length of 300 linear meters. This investment aims to enhance the network’s stability and improve service quality for the residents of this densely populated area of the city.
These interventions are part of the Vlora Regional Water Supply and Sewerage Company’s ongoing plan to modernize the water supply system and ensure a sustainable, efficient, and high-quality service for all citizens.
