SHUKALB participates in the Sweden–Albania Startup Forum 2026

SHUKALB participated in the Sweden–Albania Startup Forum, held on 29–30 April at Rogner Hotel Tirana, an event under the EU4Innovation framework that brought together startups, investors, and institutional actors from Albania and Sweden to strengthen cross-border cooperation and innovation ecosystems.
The Forum was organized by the Swedish Embassy in Albania, in collaboration with the Startup Albania Agency. It gathered more than 100 participants from the public and private sectors, investment community, and innovation ecosystem.
SHUKALB was represented by Alban Kushi, Manager of Member Services, who took part in the B2B & B2G matchmaking session on Day 1, a dedicated space for building connections between startups, investors, and public institutions.
The opening session featured H.E. the Ambassador of Sweden to Albania, Mr. Niklas Ström, H.E. Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation, Mrs. Blerta Rama, and Mr. Iven Schad from the German Embassy in Albania.

Key sessions included presentations by five Swedish startups sharing their experiences, as well as discussions on entering the Albanian market with contributions from representatives of the EU Delegation, Albanian Investment Development Agency, academia, and the private sector. An investor meetup also featured Albanian startups pitching to a panel of regional investors.
Day 2 focused on venture capital and financing, with panels including international investors and experts such as Bling Capital, Wellstreet, Keiretsu Forum, EBRD, and others, who discussed VC mechanisms and the funding landscape in Albania.
The Forum concluded with a shared emphasis on strengthening cooperation between Albania and Sweden in innovation, investment, and startup development.
SHUKALB’s participation highlights its continued engagement in international collaboration and knowledge-sharing platforms, supporting institutional partnerships and exchange of best practices.
