In March, SHUKALB actively participated in the 3rd Project Advisory Board (PAB) meeting of the Regional Capacity Development Network for Water and Sanitation Services (RCDN+) in Skopje, Macedonia. The meeting, held on 2 March 2026, provided a platform for partners to reflect on three years of achievements, discuss challenges, and chart priorities for the next phase of the project.
SHUKALB was represented by Elisabeta Poçi, Executive Director; Olta Alla, Manager of Programs and Training Coordinator, and Evis Gjebrea, Deputy General Director at Tirana Water Utility, participating in her capacity as Board Member of SHUKALB
During the PAB meeting, participants reviewed the implementation progress of the RCDN+ project, focusing on key achievements such as strengthened associations, improved training programs, and active policy dialogue in the region. Discussions also addressed the sustainable way forward for the project’s second phase, including consolidation of results and planning of implementation approaches at national and regional levels.
The following day, 3 March 2026, SHUKALB representatives attended a Negotiation Skills in Advocacy workshop, aimed at enhancing the capacity of partner associations to strategically apply negotiation techniques in their advocacy and lobbying efforts. The workshop, led by experts from Deloitte, covered negotiation fundamentals, stakeholder analysis, practical negotiation tools, conflict management strategies, and hands-on simulations designed to prepare participants for real-world policy and advocacy scenarios.
SHUKALB’s participation in these events highlights the association’s proactive role in advancing regional cooperation, strengthening the capacity of water and sanitation stakeholders, and promoting sustainable practices that support cleaner water, more resilient public utilities, and healthier communities across the Western Balkans.
