Deadline for Abstract Submissions Approaching – 14th Balkans Joint Conference and Exhibition

On behalf of SHUKALB and SHUKOS, we would like to remind all interested professionals and organizations that the deadline for submitting abstracts for the 14^th Balkans Joint Conference and Exhibition is approaching – 11 September 2026.

The Conference will be held from 3–5 November 2026 in Prishtina, Kosova, at the Emerald Hotel, under the theme “Water and Equal Opportunities.”

This year’s Conference will address the importance of developing a water sector that is not only technically strong, but also fair, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of communities. Inspired by the World Water Day 2026 theme, “Water and Gender,” the Conference will explore both equitable access to water and sanitation services and equal opportunities within the water sector itself.

The program will bring together water utility professionals, government representatives, policymakers, development partners, academics, researchers, private sector representatives, and young professionals to share experiences, research, innovative approaches, and practical solutions. Key topics will include equitable access to services, infrastructure modernization, digital transformation, climate challenges, regulatory compliance, innovation, and workforce development.

We therefore encourage professionals, institutions, utilities, private sector representatives, academia, and young professionals who wish to contribute to the Conference Program to submit their abstracts by 11 September 2026.

At the same time, registrations for the Conference are already open, and we encourage all interested participants to register and join us in Prishtina this November. The Conference will provide valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, professional networking, and collaboration, while the parallel Technical Exhibition will showcase the latest technologies, equipment, products, and services for the water and wastewater sector.
