Lezha Water Supply and Sewerage Company Receives Delegation of The German Development Bank-KfW

Me datë 7 shtator 2018, një delegacion i nivelit më të lartë të Bankës Gjermane për Zhvillim (KfW), zhvilloi një takim në ambjentet e Shoqërisë Ujësjellës Kanalizime Lezhë (UK Lezhë),  e cila ishte përzgjedhur si një ndër rastet më të spikatura të një investimi të sukseshëm të ndërmarrë nga KfW në Shqipëri.  Delegacioni u përfaqësua nga Dr. Ingrid Henngster, Anëtare e Bordit Drejtues të KfW-së, z. Christoph Tiskens, Drejtor i KfW-së për Evropën JG dhe Turqinë, z. Joerg Meilecke, Drejtor për Shqipërinë në KfW Frankfurt dhe z. Bjoern Thies, Drejtor i zyrës së KFW-së në Shqipëri.

Të pranishëm në takimin e organizuar me këtë rast ishin dhe përfaqësues nga Agjencia Kombëtare e Ujësjellës-Kanalizimeve dhe Infrastrukturës së Mbetjeve (AKUM) të kryesuar nga Z. Arben Skënderi, Drejtor i AKUM.

Delegacioni u prit nga Drejtori i UK Lezhë, Ing. Zef Maçi, i cili nisi takimin duke falenderuar KfW-në dhe Bashkëpunimin Ekonomik Zviceran (SECO) për financimin e këtij investimi të rëndësishëm që ka përmirësuar ndjeshëm jetën e banorëve të Lezhës.

Gjatë fjalës së tij Ing. Maçi theksoi: “Ne kemi realizuar një projekt të rehabilitimit të furnizimit me ujë të pijshëm në qytetin e Lezhës.  Një investim i suksesshëm për ne, për qytetarët por dhe për ju.  Keni përmirësuar jetën e qytetarëve të Lezhës, na keni realizuar ëndrrën tonë të shumë viteve, dhe ishte vërtetë nder dhe kënaqësi që ju kemi sot këtu”.

Në fjalën e saj Dr. Ingrid Henngster, vlerësoi performancën e shkëlqyer të UK Lezhë dhe ishte e entuziasmuar për pasionin me të cilën drejtohet kjo shoqëri, duke theksuar se është pasioni dhe puna e shoqërisë që ka bërë të mundur të arrihet ky sukses.  Në përfundim ajo theksoi se shembulli i suksesit të arritur në UK Lezhë, si një qasje e bazuar në performancë, të mund të përdoret si një shembull edhe në vendet e tjera të botës.

Në përfundim të takimit u garantua vijueshmëria e investimeve në zona të tjera ku ka probleme të furnizimit me ujë në bashkinë Lezhë.  Pas takimit delegacioni zhvilloi një vizitë në depot e reja të furnizimit me ujë të UK Lezhë.

On 7 September 2018, a delegation of the highest level of the German Development Bank (KfW), conducted a visit at the premises of Lezha Water Supply and Sewerage Company (Lezha WSSC), which was selected as one of the most prominent cases of successful investments undertaken by KfW in Albania.  The delegation was represented by Dr. Ingrid Henngster, Member of the Executive Board of KfW, Mr. Christoph Tiskens, Director of KfW for Southeast Europe and Turkey, Mr. Joerg Meilecke, Director for Albania at KfW Frankfurt and Mr. Bjoern Thies, Director of KfW’s Office in Albania.

Present at the meeting organized on this occasion were also representatives from the National Water Supply-Sewerage and Waste Infrastructure Agency (AKUM) headed by Mr. Arben Skenderi, Director of AKUM.

The delegation was received by the Director of Lezha WSSC, Ing. Zef Maci who started off the meeting by thanking KfW and the Swiss Economic Cooperation (SECO) for financing this important investment which has significantly improved the lives of Lezha residents.

During his speech Director Maci stressed: “We have implemented a project for rehabilitation of the water supply service in the city of Lezha, a successful investment for us, for the citizens and for you as well.  You have improved the lives of Lezha citizens, you’ve realized our dream, and it is really an honor and pleasure to have you here today“.

In her speech Dr. Ingrid Henngster, praised the excellent performance of Lezha WSSC and was enthusiastic to see the passion by which this company is leaded, stressing that it’s the passion and work of the leadership and the employees of the company that made it possible to achieve this success.  In conclusion she stressed that the example of success achieved in Lezha, as a performance-based approach, can be used as an example in other countries of the world as well.

At the end of the meeting it was guaranteed the continuity of investments in other areas where there are problems of water supply delivery in Lezha Municipality.  After the meeting the delegation made a visit to the new water supply reservoirs of Lezha WSSC.[:]
