SHUKALB Organizes the National Contest of Its High School “Science Fair” Program

Më 26 maj 2020, SHUKALB organizoi me sukses online Konkursin Kombëtar me prezantimin e punimeve shkencore të përgatitura nga nxënës të shkollave të mesme në kuadër të programit “Panairi Shkencor” për Shkollat e Mesme. Eventi u organizua përmes platformës online Zoom, për shkak të pezullimit të ndjekjes së mësimit në shkolla për shkak të pandemisë COVID-19.

Kjo ishte faza finale e programit i cili është hartuar dhe zbatohet nga SHUKALB në bashkëpunim me Ministrinë e Arsimit, Sportit dhe Rinisë, me shoqëritë Ujësjëllës Kanalizime Shkodër, Lezhë, Durrës, Kavajë dhe Vlorë. “Projekti është financuar nga Ministria Federale Gjermane për bashkëpunim ekonomik dhe Zhvillim, zbatuar nga Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH”.

Programit “Panairi Shkencor” për Shkollat e Mesme targeton nxënësit e klasave të 11-të dhe qëllimi i tij është të nxisë mendimin analitik dhe punët eksperimentale ndërmjet studentëve.  Ky program është një garë në të cilën nxënësit krijojnë dhe zhvillojnë kërkime përmes metodave shkencore.  Ato u mundësojnë nxënësve të investigojnë një temë shkencore duke kërkuar informacion ose duke biseduar me profesionistë dhe mësuesit e tyre.

Juria që vlerësoi projektet ishte e përbërë nga Dr. Gabriele Lames, Menaxhere Programi, GIZ, Dr. Besnik Rama, Specialist në Sektorin e Politikave dhe Strategjive të Arsimit, Ministria e Arsimit, Sportit dhe Rinisë, Dr. Ana Kekezi, Drejtuese e Projekteve te Programit IPA, Agjencia Kombëtare Ujësjellës Kanalizime dhe Mbetjeve të Ngurta (AKUM), Prof. Asoc. Enkelejda Gjinali, Pedagoge, Fakulteti i Inxhinierisë së Ndërtimit, Universiteti Politeknik i Tiranës dhe Mercedes Kola, Mësuese Bio-Kimie, Gjimnazi Ismail Qemali, Tiranë.

Gjatë eventit u shfaqën ne formatin e videove 20 punime të nxënësve të shkollave të mesme “28 Nëntori”, Shkodër; “Hydajet Lezha”, Lezhë, “Leonik Tomeo”, Durrës, “Aleksandër Moisiu”, Kavajë, dhe “Halim Xhelo”, Vlorë.

Eventi online u përshëndet nga Mark Molla, Drejtor, Ujësjellës Kanalizime Shkodër dhe Kasem Bejko, Nën Drejtor, Ujësjellës Kanalizime Durrës.

Juria vlerësoi punimet e bëra nga nxënësit bazuar në kritere si kreativiteti, cilësia e projektit, përshtatshmëria e temës së përzgjedhur, qartësia e prezantimit. Pas vlerësimit të punimeve, juria dha vendimin për tre projektet fituese, të cilët janë renditur më poshtë me linqet përkatëse të videove të tyre:

Vendi i parë: Shkolla: 28 Nëntori, Shkodër, me temë “Trajtimi i ujërave të ndotura”

Vendi i dytë: Shkolla: Leonik Tomeo, Durrës, me temë “Qasja e ujit të pijshëm, shpërdorimi dhe alternativat që ofron uji i shiut e burimet gjeotermale për ta kursyer atë”

Vendi i tretë: Shkolla: 28 Nëntori, Shkodër, me temë “Përdorimi i ujit të pastër”

SHUKALB do të shpërndajë medalje për të gjithë nxënësit e tre projekteve fituese. Për më tepër, si pjesë e Programit, SHUKALB do të dhurojë një seri librash shkencore për të gjitha shkollat pjesëmarrëse.[:en]

On 26 May 2020, SHUKALB organized online the National Contest with the presentation of scientific works done by high school students in the framework of the High School “Science Fair” Program.  The event was organized online via Zoom platform because of the suspension of school attendance due to COVID-19 pandemic.

This was the final phase of the program which is designed and implemented by SHUKALB in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of Albania, with the Water Supply and Sewerage companies of Shkodra, Lezha, Durres, Kavaja and Vlora. “The project is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH”.

The High School “Science Fair” program targets 11^th grade students and its goal is to encourage analytic thinking and experimental working between students.  This program is a competition in which students create and conduct research through scientific methods.  They enable students to investigate a scientific topic by seeking information or by talking to professionals and their teachers.

The jury that evaluated the projects was composed by Dr. Gabriele Lames, Programme Manager, Water Programme, GIZ Albania, Dr. Besnik Rama, Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of Albania, Dr. Ana Kekezi, Lead of IPA Projects, National Agency for Water Supply, Sewerage and Waste Infrastructure, Prof. Asoc. Enkelejda Gjinali, Lecturer, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Polytechnic University of Tirana and Mercedes Kola, Bio-Chemistry Teacher, “Ismail Qemali” Gymnasium, Tirana.  The event was moderated by Elisabeta Poci, Deputy Executive Director of SHUKALB.

During the event, 20 videos were presented from the projects done by students of the high schools participating in the program: “28 Nentori”, Shkoder; “Hydajet Lezha”, Lezhe; “Leonik Tomeo”, Durres; “Aleksander Moisiu”, Kavaje; and “Halim Xhelo”, Vlore.

The online event was greeted by Mark Molla, Director, Shkodra Water Supply and Sewerage Company and Kasem Bejko, Deputy Director, Durres Water Supply and Sewerage Company.

The Jury evaluated the projects done by the students based on the criteria such as creativity, project quality, and relevance of the selected topic and clarity of presentation.  After the evaluation, the jury announced the three winning projects, which are listed below with the respective links of their videos:

First place: “28 Nentori” high school, Shkodra, titled “Wastewater treatment”

Second place: “Leonik Tomeo” high school, Durres, titled “Access to drinking water, waste and alternatives provided by rainwater and geothermal resources to save it”

Third place: “28 Nentori” high school, Shkodra, titled “Usage of clean water”

SHUKALB will distribute medals for all the students of the three winning projects. In addition, as part of the Program, SHUKALB will gift a set of scientific books to all participating schools.[:]
