SHUKALB Launches Its High School “Science Fair” Program for 2021

SHUKALB launched the implementation of one of its most exciting education and awareness program, the High School “Science Fair” Program, by organizing on 7 May 2021 a virtual training session with the participation of the biology, chemistry and physics teachers of the high schools participating in the Program.
The High School “Science Fair” program targets 11th grade students and includes 9 high schools from Shkoder, Lezhe, Durres, Kavaja, Vlora, Saranda, Himara, Cerrik and Peqin. The program goal is to encourage analytic thinking and experimental working between students. This program is a competition in which students create and conduct research through scientific methods. They enable students to investigate a scientific topic by seeking information or by talking to professionals and their teachers.

The program is being implemented under an agreement and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of Albania, as well as with the support of the “Customer and Performance Oriented Drinking Water and Sanitation Services” program, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
The aim of the online training session was to introduce teachers to the program’s objectives and phases, and share them the necessary instructions to be followed during the implementation of the program.
The participants were introduced to a detailed presentation held by the staff of SHUKALB involved in the program, as well as a discussion session in regard of possible topics to be implemented.[:]
