The Countdown to the 9th Balkans Joint Conference and Exhibition, Valuing Water has Begun

The 9th Balkans Joint Conference and Exhibition 2021, “Valuing Water”, which will be organized as a virtual event on 3-5 November 2021, is just hours away. The Conference will be live-streamed and broadcasted online to participants via Zoom platform.
The Organizing and Program Committees are pleased to share below some of the highlights of the event.
High Level Decision Makers and Professionals
H.E. Albin Kurti, Prime Minister, Government of the Republic of Kosovo, will deliver a congratulatory address during the Conference Official Opening Ceremony on 3 November 2021.
Liburn Aliu, Minister, Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Kosovo, will deliver a congratulatory address on the opening of Conference sessions on 5 November 2021.
Mentor Arifaj, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Economy, Kosovo, will deliver a congratulatory address on the opening of Conference sessions on 4 November 2021.
Distinguished Speakers
Oliver Loebel, Secretary General, European Federation of National Associations of Water Services, Belgium, will deliver a keynote address on the opening of Conference sessions on 3 November 2021.
Camilo Lombana Cordoba, Senior Water and Sanitation Specialist, World Bank Group, will deliver a keynote address on the opening of Conference sessions on 3 November 2021.
Conference Program
Speakers during a Plenary Session at the Balkans Joint Conference and Exhibition 2020
The Conference Program will combine plenary sessions, as well as technical sessions, covering a broad and multi-dimensional number of topics from policy to technical, as well as management issues of the water sector.
The first day of the Technical Program will start by addressing the main theme of the Conference, “Valuing Water”. The Plenary Session 1: Valuing Water: A Holistic Overview, aims to bring a holistic overview on the value of water and how is this internally understood and further communicated with the public, by the different actors of the sector.
The other two Plenary Sessions will address topics of:
Building the Utilities of the Future: Understanding the Journey Ahead
Water Supply and Sewerage Infrastructure Management in the Context of EU Integration
Technical sessions will bring a broad and multi-dimensional discussion of topics, covering from policy to technical, as well as management issues of the water sector. You may find the final Conference Program at this link.
Technical Exhibit
The virtual Exhibition is organized through a virtual platform where the exhibiting companies will present their products and services through pre-recorded videos, images, brochures and other relevant information. The exhibition platform is accessible at the event website under the Exhibition Virtual Platform session and will be promoted to all virtual participants throughout the duration of the Conference.
In addition, the Exhibiting companies and the Conference participants will have the opportunity to interact and meet directly with each other.
