SHUKALB Speaks About Its Public Outreach Activities at the Final Conference of CrossWater Project

SHUKALB participated at the final conference of the “The Integrated Water Management System in Cross border Area” (CrossWater), organized by the Municipality of Tirana during 19 and 20 January 2023, at Tirana International Hotel. The objective of the final Conference was to present the work carried out in the framework of the project, the best practices, and the future steps in relation to water supply, save, reuse and management.

Participants from SHUKALB included the Manager of Member Services Alban Kushi, and the Manager of Programs, Olta Ceca. In addition, the Executive Director, Elisabeta Poçi was invited as a speaker on the 1^st day of the conference, where she held a presentation on “Community Behavior Change through Awareness and Public Outreach Programs”.  Ms. Poçi shared the experience of SHUKALB with its long-term awareness and outreach programs aiming to educate the younger generations and the wider public toward the protection and use of water resources.

CrossWater is a regional cooperation project, co-financed by the European Union under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance / IPA CBC Italy- Albania -Montenegro, aimed at establishing an efficient and effective cross border Water Management System (WMS).

Lead Partner of this Project is Puglia Region, Department of Agriculture and Rural and Environmental Development, Water Resources Section, whereas other partners of the project are Municipality of Tirana (AL), Tirana Water Supply and Sewerage Company (AL), Acquedotto Pugliese S.p.A. (IT), Molise Region, Department of the Presidency of the Regional Council (IT), Public Enterprise Regional Water Supply of the Montenegrin Coast – Budva (ME).  As part of the Project, Tirana Water Supply and Sewerage Company has built a new water supply network in the village of Kasalle, in the Zall-Herr administrative unit, which covers with water supply service to 550 families.
