SHUKALB and SHUKOS Organize the Annual Joint Meeting of Trainers 2023

As it has become a tradition by now, SHUKALB and SHUKOS organized online on 3 March 2023, the Annual Joint Meeting of Trainers. The meeting was attended by trainers from Albania and Kosovo, who represented professionals from water and wastewater utilities, academia and free-lance consultants.  The meeting was moderated by Jonida Ahmeti, Manager of Training, SHUKALB and Nadire Vitija, Manager of Training, SHUKOS.

The meeting achieved to facilitate the information and exchange of trainers in the capacity development programs delivered by SHUKALB and SHUKOS during 2022 and planned for 2023. The meeting was welcomed by Elisabeta Poci, Executive Director of SHUKALB and Abdullah Derguti, Executive Director, SHUKOS.

The trainers were introduced to the overall work conducted by associations related to the capacity development programs organized during 2023, as well as plans for 2023. The trainers were very active by sharing their comments, suggestions and feedback on the need for trainings on the areas of water disinfection, archive and protocols compliance to ISO, General Safety for Water and Wastewater Professionals during 2023.

The trainers exchanged ideas on organizing peer exchanges on best practices among the two countries and enriching the training experience by engaging international experts working in different water projects to share their expertise. Furthermore, suggestions were provided in relations to assessing the procedures that water utilities have in place related to key functional areas and adapting the training activities. The trainers appreciated such exchange meetings and expressed the need for further events in the future.
