SHUKALB Holds the 2025 General Assembly Meeting

On 10 October 2025, SHUKALB held its General Assembly Meeting at the Xheko Imperial Luxury Hotel in Tirana.

The meeting brought together representatives from the water supply and sewerage companies of Tirana, Korça, Shkodra, Lezha, Berati, Durres, and Pogradec, as well as representatives from private companies and individual members of SHUKALB.

The purpose of the meeting was to inform and engage members on SHUKALB’s key developments during 2025, and to discuss the Association’s strategic directions for the 2025–2030 period.

In his opening remarks, the President of SHUKALB, Mr. Petrit Tare, welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of cooperation among members to strengthen the water and wastewater sector in Albania.

Following that, the Executive Director of SHUKALB, Ms. Elisabeta Poci, presented an overview of the year’s developments, covering the main areas of activities, such as membership, training and capacity development programs, projects, education and awareness initiatives, as well as preparations for the 2025 Balkans Joint Conference and Exhibition.

Participants were also introduced to the process of revising SHUKALB’s Statute and Regulations, and to the main objectives and priorities of the 2025–2030 Strategic Plan.

The meeting featured open discussions, allowing members to share suggestions, ideas, and proposals for improving the Association’s activities and strengthening its role in supporting the sector.
