Meqen\u00ebse si Ministri Dervishaj, ashtu dhe Dr. Johnson jan\u00eb relativisht t\u00eb rinj n\u00eb pozicionet e tyre, kjo ishte mund\u00ebsia e par\u00eb p\u00ebr t’u takuar dhe p\u00ebr t\u00eb diskutuar nevojat e sektorit t\u00eb ujit n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri. \u00a0Q\u00ebllimi i takimit ishte informimi i Ministrit rreth Projektit, progresin e arritur deri m\u00eb sot, dhe \u00e7far\u00eb shtrihet m\u00eb tej n\u00eb institucionalizimin final t\u00eb p\u00ebrpjekjeve t\u00eb Grupit t\u00eb Pun\u00ebs Ministror n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb drejtim.<\/p>\n
Ministri Dervishaj shprehu interesin e tij t\u00eb sinqert\u00eb p\u00ebr Projektin dhe mb\u00ebshtetjen e tij p\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb nism\u00eb t\u00eb p\u00ebrbashk\u00ebt me USAID-in. \u00a0Nj\u00eb nga \u00e7\u00ebshtjet q\u00eb u diskutuan n\u00eb p\u00ebrfundim t\u00eb takimit ishte mb\u00ebshtetja financiare q\u00eb programit do t\u2019i duhet p\u00ebr faz\u00ebn fillestare t\u00eb zbatimit, t\u00eb pakt\u00ebn pjes\u00ebrisht. \u00a0Ky shqet\u00ebsim u pranua edhe nga Dr. Johnson e cila shprehu mb\u00ebshtetjen e saj p\u00ebr t\u00eb ndihmuar Qeverin\u00eb Shqiptare n\u00eb qasjen e agjencive donatore q\u00eb jan\u00eb aktive n\u00eb sektorin e uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs kanalizimeve n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri. \u00a0P\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb arsye, u ra dakord s\u00eb bashku me Ministrin, p\u00ebr t\u00eb organizuar nj\u00eb tryez\u00eb t\u00eb rrumbullak\u00ebt t\u00eb donator\u00ebve p\u00ebr t\u00eb ndar\u00eb dhe diskutuar mbi Programin e Certifikimit Bazuar n\u00eb Testim dhe mund\u00ebsit\u00eb p\u00ebr mb\u00ebshtetje nga donator\u00ebt.[:en]In light of the significant support being provided by USAID to the Albanian Water Sector, through the Sustainable Water Sector Capacity Development in Albania Project, SHUKALB had the pleasure to arrange a meeting between Mr. Sokol Dervishaj, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, the main institution that is leading the process for the establishment of a Test-Based Certification Program for the staff of water and wastewater utilities in Albania, and Dr. Catherine Johnson, Country Representative for USAID in Albania.<\/p>\n
Since both Minister Dervishaj and Dr. Johnson are relatively new to their positions, this was their first opportunity to meet and discuss the needs of the water sector in Albania.\u00a0 The purpose of the meeting was to brief the Minister on the Project, the progress made to date, and what lies ahead in the final institutionalization of the efforts of the Ministerial Working Group in that regard.<\/p>\n
Minister Dervishaj expressed his genuine interest in the Project and his support to this joint initiative with USAID.\u00a0 One of the issues discussed, towards the end of the meeting, was the financial support that the Certification Program will need for the initial phase of implementation, at least partially.\u00a0 This concern was acknowledged also by Dr. Johnson, who expressed her support in helping the Government of Albania in approaching the donor agencies that are active in the water supply and sewerage sector in Albania.\u00a0 In line with that purpose, it was jointly agreed with the Minister to organize a roundtable of donors in order to share and discuss the Test-Based Certification Program and the possibilities for support by the donors.[:]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
