This training course addresses issues related to \u201cwater integrity\u201d, ethical values and standards, standard elements of a Code of Ethics, as well as the procedure followed by utilities for drafting their Code of Ethics.<\/p>\n<p>The participants will gain the necessary knowledge and \u00a0skills to handle ethics dilemmas during their everyday activities.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Target Group<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This training course has been designed for professionals of water supply and sewerage utilities, and is useful for all workers of water supply and sewerage utilities, laboratory and customer service personnel.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Objectives of Training Course<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>At the end of this training course, the participants will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand the importance of water integrity;<\/li>\n<li>Recognize the consequences of corruption in the water sector;<\/li>\n<li>Recognize the potential benefits associated with an effective ethics program in their organization;<\/li>\n<li>Implement ethical standards in order to enforce preferred behavior;<\/li>\n<li>Recognize the content of a standard Code of Ethics and Conduct;<\/li>\n<li>Recognize the basic legal framework in which a utility can be based to develop the Code of Ethics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Training Method<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The training is based on lectures presented in PowerPoint, combined with discussions and case studies. In addition to lectures and discussions, participants will analyse specific case studies.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Training Course Materials<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The participants of this training course will be provided with the Training Manual \u201cEthics for Water and Wastewater Professionals\u201d.
