Tema e k\u00ebtij viti “Natyra p\u00ebr Ujin” shqyrton se si mund ta p\u00ebrdorim natyr\u00ebn p\u00ebr t\u00eb kap\u00ebrcyer sfidat e ujit t\u00eb shekullit t\u00eb 21-t\u00eb.<\/p>\n

D\u00ebmtimi i mjedisit, s\u00eb bashku me ndryshimet klimatike, jan\u00eb duke nxitur krizat q\u00eb lidhen me ujin n\u00eb mbar\u00eb bot\u00ebn. P\u00ebrmbytjet, that\u00ebsirat dhe ndotja e ujit jan\u00eb p\u00ebrkeq\u00ebsuar gjithnj\u00eb e m\u00eb shum\u00eb nga degradimi i bim\u00ebsis\u00eb, tok\u00ebs, lumenjve dhe liqeneve. Kur i l\u00ebm\u00eb pas dore ekosistemet tona, e b\u00ebjm\u00eb m\u00eb t\u00eb v\u00ebshtir\u00eb t’u sigurojm\u00eb secilit ujin q\u00eb na nevojitet p\u00ebr t\u00eb mbijetuar dhe p\u00ebr t\u2019u zhvilluar. Zgjidhjet e bazuara n\u00eb natyr\u00eb kan\u00eb potencialin p\u00ebr t\u00eb zgjidhur shum\u00eb nga sfidat tona t\u00eb ujit. Ne duhet t\u00eb b\u00ebjm\u00eb shum\u00eb m\u00eb tep\u00ebr me infrastruktur\u00ebn ‘e gjelb\u00ebr’ dhe ta harmonizojm\u00eb at\u00eb me infrastruktur\u00ebn ‘gri’ aty ku \u00ebsht\u00eb e mundur. Mbjellja e pyjeve t\u00eb reja, rilidhja e lumenjve n\u00eb zonat e p\u00ebrmbytura dhe restaurimi i lagunave do t\u00eb ribalancoj\u00eb ciklin e ujit dhe do t\u00eb p\u00ebrmir\u00ebsoj\u00eb sh\u00ebndetin e njer\u00ebzve dhe jetes\u00ebn.<\/p>\n

The celebration of World Water Day (WWD) has become a tradition for SHUKALB and its member water and wastewater utilities, as a unique opportunity to draw attention and create momentum that compels government, civil society, and individuals to take action.<\/p>\n

World Water Day is a Program of United Nations, celebrated every year on 22 March. \u00a0This year\u2019s theme \u201cNature for Water\u201d explores how we can use nature to overcome the water challenges of the 21st<\/sup> century.<\/p>\n

Environmental damage, together with climate change, is driving the water-related crises we see around the world. \u00a0Floods, drought and water pollution are all made worse by degraded vegetation, soil, rivers and lakes. \u00a0When we neglect our ecosystems, we make it harder to provide everyone with the water we need to survive and thrive. \u00a0Nature-based solutions have the potential to solve many of our water challenges. \u00a0We need to do so much more with \u2018green\u2019 infrastructure and harmonize it with \u2018grey\u2019 infrastructure wherever possible. \u00a0Planting new forests, reconnecting rivers to floodplains, and restoring wetlands will rebalance the water cycle and improve human health and livelihoods.<\/p>\n

Even this year, SHUKALB will support the water utilities across Albania through designing promotional materials with the message of the WWD, to be further used by the utilities in organizing their public outreach events at the local level. \u00a0SHUKALB has prepared awareness leaflets with awareness messages, posters with WWD message, and T-shirts with WWD logo.<\/p>\n

All the water utilities that would like to organize awareness and outreach events on the WWD are welcome to contact SHUKALB through the e-mail address program@shukalb.al<\/a>.<\/p>\n
