Samples are representatives of the water supply system, in terms of\u00a0 water quality and safety of\u00a0 human consumption. This training course aims at explaining the laboratory procedures and identifying the necessary equipment to perform it, as well as explaining procedures for collecting samples and specifying the right steps to conduct necessary laboratory analyses.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>T<\/strong><strong>arget Group<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This training course is developed for professionals of water supply and sewerage utilities and it is especially useful for operators working in laboratory.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ob<\/strong><strong>jectives of the Training Course<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>At the end of this training course, the participants will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Understand the importance of laboratory safety;<\/li>\n<li>Know and use the laboratory equipment in an appropriate manner;<\/li>\n<li>Identify some potential laboratory hazards;<\/li>\n<li>Practice and complete a recordkeeping worksheet;<\/li>\n<li>Identify the sampling devices and techniques;<\/li>\n<li>Apply the necessary conditions during laboratory analysis;<\/li>\n<li>Perform the laboratory tests for: alkalinity; chlorine residual; chlorine demand; coliform; hardness; jar test; pH; temperature and turbidity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>T<\/strong><strong>r<\/strong><strong>aining Method<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The training is based on lectures presented in Power \u00a0Point, \u00a0combined\u00a0 with \u00a0discussions. In addition to lectures and discussions, participants will analyse specific case studies.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>T<\/strong><strong>r<\/strong><strong>aining Course Materials<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The participants of this training course will be provided with the Training Manual on \u201cSampling and Laboratory Procedures for Water and Waste Water\u201d.
