Their proper installation maximizes their service life and minimizes future maintenance problems, thus providing safe drinking water and reducing unnecessary costs for the water supply and sewerage utility.This training course aims at introducing participants with the most frequently used types of water mains and their characteristics. They will become familiar with the necessary steps of pipe installation and will be introduced to different types of storage facilities, as well as their operation and maintenance procedures.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>T<\/strong><strong>arget Group<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This training course is developed for professionals of water supply and sewerage utilities and it is especially useful for directors of distribution and technical department, operation and maintenance engineers,and production engineers.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ob<\/strong><strong>jectives of the Training Course<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>At the end of this training course, the participants will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify a typical layout of the distribution system;<\/li>\n<li>Identify the types of pipes;<\/li>\n<li>Identify the types of joints;<\/li>\n<li>Recognize protection procedures for pipes;<\/li>\n<li>Identify the inspections procedures while transporting the pipes;<\/li>\n<li>Apply the steps that should be followed in order to unload, stack and string the pipes;<\/li>\n<li>Describe the excavation process;<\/li>\n<li>Recognize the steps for laying pipes;<\/li>\n<li>Identify the leak testing procedures;<\/li>\n<li>Know the procedures for flushing and disinfecting the water mains;<\/li>\n<li>Operate and maintain the pipes and fitting;<\/li>\n<li>Identify various types of storage facility;<\/li>\n<li>Know the procedures to maintain the storage facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>T<\/strong><strong>r<\/strong><strong>aining Method<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The training is based on lectures presented in Power \u00a0Point, \u00a0combined\u00a0 with \u00a0discussions.
