width=\"143\" height=\"101\" \/><\/a>The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has organized to conduct regional briefings to present and explain, in detail, the recent Decision of the Council of Ministers titled, \u201cReorganization of the operators providing the services of drinking water supply, wastewater collection, treatment and disposal\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The regional meetings, which will all start at 10:30 and continue until 15:00, are scheduled to take place as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thursday, 7 April, Lezhe<\/li>\n<li>Friday, 8 April, Vlora<\/li>\n<li>Monday, 11 April, Tirana<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday, 12 April, Pogradec<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The participants that will be invited will include all mayors, deputy mayors, water directors, and other local officials designated by the mayors.<\/p>\n<p>The agenda will discuss each article of the Decision and the Model Statute for the re-organized utilities.\u00a0 Specific re-organization scenarios will be explained to reflect the different actions that might need to be taken by a particular municipality, in light of their local situation.<\/p>\n<p>The technical experts that are supporting the Ministry with these briefings will also present recommendations for Municipalities to follow in preparing a re-organization Transition Plan, which would be followed by the preparation of a Performance Improvement Action Plan and a Five-Year Business Plan.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry has arranged for all of this information to be contained in a printed Guideline that will be provided to all participants at the Briefings.\u00a0 The Guideline will also contain a CD with an electronic version of the Guideline, as well as the Albanian Standard Utility Business Plan Manual and Excel Model for preparing a comprehensive Business
