SHUKALB u ftua nga organizator\u00ebt e nj\u00eb Konference nj\u00eb ditore n\u00eb Zenica, Bosnje dhe Herzegovin\u00eb (BH), m\u00eb 30 mars, me tem\u00eb “Nga Sfidat te Mund\u00ebsit\u00eb<\/em>“. Objektivi i p\u00ebrgjithsh\u00ebm i Konferenc\u00ebs, q\u00eb u organizua nga Aquasan Network BiH ishte promovimi i standardeve m\u00eb t\u00eb larta p\u00ebr cil\u00ebsin\u00eb dhe q\u00ebndrueshm\u00ebrin\u00eb e sh\u00ebrbimeve dhe nevojave t\u00eb ujit, ngritjen e kapaciteteve njer\u00ebzore dhe institucionale n\u00eb kompanit\u00eb publike t\u00eb sh\u00ebrbimeve (PUC) dhe nj\u00ebsive vet\u00eb-qeveris\u00ebse lokale (NJVL), si dhe nevoja p\u00ebr t\u00eb ngritur nj\u00eb korniz\u00eb legjislative mb\u00ebshtet\u00ebse t\u00eb p\u00ebrmir\u00ebsuar n\u00eb sektorin e sh\u00ebrbimeve t\u00eb ujit n\u00eb BH dhe n\u00eb rajonin e Ballkanit Per\u00ebndimor.<\/p>\n

N\u00eb mesin e institucioneve t\u00eb tjera nga BH dhe organizatave donatore, SHUKALB u ftua p\u00ebr t\u00eb ndar\u00eb p\u00ebrvoj\u00ebn e saj dhe p\u00ebr t\u00eb sjell\u00eb perspektiv\u00ebn e reform\u00ebs s\u00eb fundit n\u00eb sektorin e ujit n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri. \u00a0Z. SHUKALB was invited by the organizers of a one-day Conference in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), on March 30th<\/sup>, titled \u201cFrom Challenges to Opportunities<\/em>\u201d.\u00a0 The overall objective of the Conference, which was organized by the Aquasan Network of BiH was to promote higher standards for quality and sustainability of water services and the need to build human and institutional capacities in public utility companies (PUC\u2019s) and local self-governance units (LSGU\u2019s), as well as the need to set up an improved supporting legislative framework in the water services sector in B&H and in the Western Balkans region.<\/p>\n

Among other institutions from BiH and donor organizations, SHUKALB was also invited to share its experience and perspective on the recent water sector reform in Albania.\u00a0 Mr. Philip Giantris, Executive Director of SHUKALB presented on the \u201cWater Sector Reform in Albania: A Summary of the Local Government and Water Sector Reform Process, and the Changing Roles in the Governance and Management of Water Supply and Sewerage Utilities.\u201d<\/u><\/em>\u00a0 Later on in the Program, Ms. Elisabeta Poci, Deputy Executive Director and Project Manager, shared the experience with the development of the training and certification program, in her presentation titled \u201c<\/u><\/em>Test-Based Certification in Albania: Building An Institutionalized Platform for Training and Certification As the Key Step to Achieving Sustainable Development and Professionalism of the Water Sector in the Provision of Water Supply and Sewerage Services.\u201d<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n

The exchange of experiences and the collaboration with the other water associations in the region and beyond is one of SHUKALB\u2019s expressed in its Business Plan as a Mission Objective: \u201cBe a positive force for mutual understanding, collaboration and regional partnership in the Western Balkans.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 SHUKALB, as a professional organization, is committed to bringing value to the regional platform of water associations by way of knowledge sharing.\u00a0 Furthermore, SHUKALB remains open and looks forward to share the experience and products of its USAID-funded Project, \u201cSustainable Water Sector Capacity Development in Albania\u201d, which is developing an institutionalized training and test-based certification program for the staff of water supply and wastewater utilities in Albania.[:]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
