SHUKALB and SHUKOS are pleased to invite you to join and participate in the Program of the 4th Balkans Joint Conference and Exhibition to be held in Tirana, Albania, on 2-4 November 2016, at Expo City Albania.<\/strong>\u00a0 The Conference Theme \u201cWater and Jobs<\/strong>\u201d brings much needed attention to the multiple challenges that are being faced in the water supply and sewerage sector as the sector works to replace a retiring workforce, while at the same time working to communicate the career opportunities that exist in the water sector, but that are not well understood by the younger generations in the Western Balkans.<\/p>\n

The Balkans Joint Conference and Exhibition has truly established itself as a major knowledge sharing and networking event in the Western Balkans water sector. With a regular audience of over 450 participants from the Greater Balkan Region, the Conference offers a platform where water professionals, policymakers, and business professionals from the sector gather and discuss issues of concern, exchange information, and share experiences in an effort to help the further development of the water supply and sewerage sector in the Greater Balkan Region.<\/p>\n

The strength of past Conferences, as evidenced in the participant surveys that are conducted during and after each Conference, has always been the quality and diversity of the formal, professional papers that are presented by the chosen speakers. You are welcome to review the main themes and topic areas that the Conference organizers have formulated for this year\u2019s Conference, and to consider submitting an Abstract for presentation.<\/p>\n

Prior to the submission of the Full Paper and PowerPoint presentation, the authors have to submit an abstract of their paper covering one of the following topics. The submitted abstracts will be further evaluated by the Technical Program Committee of the Conference. The authors of the selected abstracts will then be invited to submit the Full Paper and Power Point Presentation.<\/p>\n
