Arlinda Ibrahimllari, Diane D\u2019Arras, newly elected President of IWA, and Philip Giantris<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n

The International Water Association (IWA) Congress and Exhibition was held from 8-13 October 2016 in Brisbane, Australia.\u00a0 SHUKALB is a Governing Member of IWA and was represented at the Governing Member Assembly by Philip Giantris, Executive Director of SHUKALB and Arlinda Ibrahimllari, Wastewater Manager at the Korca Water Supply and Sewerage Company and Chairperson of the Future Water Leaders Steering Committee of the IWA.<\/p>\n

Both Philip and Arlinda had very busy schedules, while at the Congress, with Philip making a presentation in the Workshop on Capacity Development – Building a Prepared, Diverse Workforce\u201d and serving on a Panel of \u201cSenior Professionals\u201d during the Young Water Professionals Forum.\u00a0 He also participated in the Work Group that is developing a Case Studies Book, to be published by IWA on Performance Based Contracting.<\/p>\n

In her position as Chairperson of the Future Water Leaders Steering Committee of the IWA, Arlinda had a busy week in a variety of Young Water Professional working and networking sessions.\u00a0 She also served as an Official Rapporteur for the Congress on several sessions<\/p>\n

Philip reported that it was hard to explain the sensation of joy that he had when Arlinda appeared as a featured speaker on the stage of the Closing Ceremony before an audience of over 1,500 participants.\u00a0 He said that she was articulate and poised, and truly represented the best of what Albania has to offer on the \u201cglobal water sector stage\u201d.[:]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
