Hungarian Water Association Staff discusses opportunities with SHUKALB Board Members and Staff<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n

On 6 February, SHUKALB met with representatives of the Hungarian Water Utility Association (MaV\u00edz), to discuss possible areas of cooperation between the two Associations.\u00a0 The purpose of the meeting was to establish closer relations between SHUKALB and MaV\u00edz, and to prepare the contents of a Memorandum of Understanding.\u00a0 The discussion focused on the possibilities of educational and training co-operation between the two Associations and establishment of contacts between the Albanian and Hungarian Young Water Professionals.<\/p>\n

SHUKALB was represented by Mr. Petrit Tare, President of SHUKALB and Director of Korca Water Utility; Mrs. Elisabeta Poci, Deputy Director, SHUKALB administrative staff, and Mrs. Arlinda Ibrahimllari, Chair of the Young Water Professionals Group of Albania. \u00a0The Hungarian Association was represented by Mrs. Edit Nagy, Secretary General and Mr. Adri\u00e1n Kiss, analyst and coordinator of international relations.<\/p>\n

Both associations made a detailed presentation on their activities, Training Programs, Projects, Educational and Awareness Programs, recent developments of their respective water sectors, and on future perspectives.<\/p>\n

Present at the meeting were also the representatives of the Hungarian private company Kristally kft, a member of MaViz, who presented their activity, mainly consisting in the design and implementation of water treatment plants for drinking and waste water, and the future investment plans in the water sector in Albania.<\/p>\n

SHUKALB welcomed at the meeting Mrs. Martina Kasnyik, Third Secretary, Economic and Trade Affairs, Embassy of Hungary in Tirana, who emphasized the importance of the collaboration of the two countries in strengthening the efforts in the area of trade exchange.\u00a0 She also shared information on the Hungarian Government education initiatives and scholarship opportunities, with the core mission to increase the number of foreign students in Hungary and to encourage Hungarian higher education institutions to attract top foreign students.<\/p>\n

At the end of the meeting, SHUKALB and MaViz agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding during the Business Forum and Water Conference, titled \u201cHungarian-Albanian Innovative Water Conference & Workshop\u201d \u00a0<\/em>that will be held in Tirana, on 10 April.\u00a0 The Conference will be organized in collaboration of both MaViz and SHUKALB, with the support of the Hungarian Embassy in Tirana, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, and Budapest Waterworks.[:]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
