Mbaresa Ferracaku, Responsible of Technical Department at Shkodra Water Supply and Sewerage Company, at SHUKALB Training Course \u201cWater Loss Management I\u201d<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n

Last year at \u201cBurimi\u201d, SHUKALB issued a series of articles that included interviews with employees from different water supply and sewerage utilities in Albania. \u00a0These interviews aimed to bring a focus on the most valuable asset of the water sector, the men and women who ensure the delivery of water supply and sewerage services for the people of Albania. \u00a0This month, BURIMI is sharing an interview with a young engineer, who during February, participated at SHUKALB Training Course \u201cWater Loss Management\u201d.\u00a0 Her name is Mbaresa Ferracaku, Manager of the Technical Department at the Shkodra Water Supply and Sewerage Company.<\/p>\n

Mbaresa, who is 24 years old, was born in the City of Lushnja, and currently lives in Tirana.\u00a0 Everyday, she travels from Tirana to Shkodra, and back, but the distance does not bother her.\u00a0 She states: \u201cI love my profession and want to invest for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

– Ms. Ferracaku, tell us something about yourself.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI have graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, on October 17, 2016, with a Master of Science Degree in Hydro-technical Engineering<\/em>.\u00a0 During my master degree studies, I also worked for a few months at a construction company.\u00a0 A month ago, I started working at the Shkodra Water Supply and Sewerage Company where I manage the Technical Department.\u201d<\/p>\n

– Why did you choose to work at the Shkodra WSS Company?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cShkodra Water Supply and Sewerage Company is one of the biggest water utilities in Albania and my current working position is one of the best that a recent graduate engineer could have.\u201d<\/p>\n

– What do you like most in your job? <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe thing that I appreciate most at my job is the experience that I\u2019m acquiring.\u00a0 Every day I am learning something new about my profession.\u00a0 At the Shkodra Water Utility, I\u2019ve found a wonderful staff that is willing to help and cooperate. \u00a0But most importantly, since the first day that I arrived, I have had great support from everybody, especially from the Administrator and the Technical Director.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2013 What is the message you would like to give to the younger generation who want to work in the water sector?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI have a principle: If you love your profession, you have to invest for it. \u00a0It doesn\u2019t matter how far from home you have to travel to get to your work, as long as you work in the profession you love.\u00a0 If you are willing to work, you can accomplish anything.\u201d[:]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
