N\u00eb fillim t\u00eb Asambles\u00eb s\u00eb P\u00ebrgjithshme, u prezantua dhe u p\u00ebrsh\u00ebndet Drejtori Ekzekutiv i sapoem\u00ebruar i IWA-s\u00eb, z. Kalanithy Vairavamoorthy. \u00a0Takimi vazhdoi me nj\u00eb pasqyr\u00eb t\u00eb arritjeve kryesore gjat\u00eb 12 muajve t\u00eb fundit; nj\u00eb raport financiar dhe raport auditimi, dhe nj\u00eb diskutim t\u00eb An\u00ebtar\u00ebve t\u00eb Bordit dhe Asambles\u00eb s\u00eb P\u00ebrgjithshme mbi drejtimin e ardhsh\u00ebm t\u00eb IWA-s\u00eb.<\/p>\n

On 23 September, in Prague, Czech Republic, the International Water Association (IWA) organized its General Assembly, where SHUKALB, as a continuous Governing Member of IWA, was represented by Mr. Philip Giantris, Executive Director; Mr. Petrit Tare, President of SHUKALB and Director of Korca Water Supply and Sewerage Company; and Ms. Arlinda Ibrahimllari, Chair of the Young Water Professionals of Albania and Chair of the IWA Emerging Water Leaders Steering Committee.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the General Assembly, the newly named Executive Director of IWA, Mr. Kalanithy Vairavamoorthy, was introduced and welcomed. \u00a0The meeting continued with a review of the major accomplishments over the past 12 months; a financial report and auditor\u2019s report, and a discussion with Board Members and General Assembly on Future Direction of IWA.<\/p>\n

At the end of the Assembly, the IWA Task Force on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG\u2019s) was introduced, and this included Ms. Arlinda Ibrahimllari, who was appointed as the YWP member of the Task Force. \u00a0The main objective of this Task Force is to promote the water-related SDG targets to foster ownership by IWA Governing Members and water stakeholders, and to ensure that SDG\u2019s are translated into national and local action plans.<\/p>\n

Prior the General Assembly, on 22 September, a meeting of the Governing Members in the Western Balkans Region was held, where the experience of YWP program of Albania was presented as a very good example. \u00a0The overall purpose of the meeting was to introduce the agreement between International Association of Water Utilities in the Danube Catchment Area (IAWD) and IWA; to present IAWD\u2019s activities in the region; and to discuss with IWA plans for the region to get the participants\u2019 feedback on potential cooperation.[:]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
