During June, SHUKALB delivered two training courses, as part of the Joint Training Program.\u00a0 The first training course, \u201cWater Loss Management I & II<\/strong>\u201d was delivered in Tirana on 11 and 12 June, and was attended by the staff of water supply and sewerage of Shkoder, Peqin, Cerrrik, Korce, as well representatives from Albanian Water Regulatory Authority.<\/p>\n

The training course was delivered by the trainers Ervin Bucpapaj, Freelance Consultant; Eng. Astrit Menalla, Freelance Consultant, and Daniela Gega, Valu Add Management Services.<\/p>\n

The training course addressed different aspects of Water Loss Management to include water demand management, pressure management, importance of commercial efficiency, economic level of non-revenue water, as well as water balance.<\/p>\n

Besides the theoretical concepts on water loss and the exchange of personal experience from the participants, the training also included a field visit at the partition reservoirs of Tirana Water Supply and Sewerage Company, where participants saw a demonstration of measuring the water flow of a DN125 line through an ultrasonic meter.<\/p>\n

The second training course \u201cLeakage Control<\/strong>\u201d was delivered on 25 June, in Tirana, by trainer Ervin Bucpapaj, and it was attended by the staff of water utilities of Peqin, Vlore, Cerrik, Sarande, Korce and Himare.<\/p>\n

The training course provided the participants with the knowledge needed for developing a leakage management strategy, detecting and locating leakages, managing pressure, as well as controlling and monitoring of leakage.<\/p>\n

After the classroom lecture, the participants had the chance to experience a live demonstration of leakage control, through leakage measuring equipments that were provided by Saranda Water Utility.[:]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
