M\u00eb 5 qershor 2019, p\u00ebrfaq\u00ebsues nga SHUKALB dhe GIZ, mor\u00ebn pjes\u00eb n\u00eb aktivitetet e organizuara nga nx\u00ebn\u00ebsit e klasave t\u00eb 8 t\u00eb shkollave fillore “Gjergj Kastrioti” dhe “Gjergj Fishta” n\u00eb Lezh\u00eb, me rastin e Dit\u00ebs Bot\u00ebrore t\u00eb Mjedisit. \u00a0N\u00ebn mbik\u00ebqyrjen e m\u00ebsueseve t\u00eb tyre t\u00eb kimis\u00eb, 50 nx\u00ebn\u00ebs kryen testime t\u00eb ndryshme p\u00ebr cil\u00ebsin\u00eb e ujit t\u00eb plazhit t\u00eb Sh\u00ebngjinit, duke matur pH, temperatur\u00ebn, turbiditetin dhe oksigjenin e tretur (DO).<\/p>\n

Ky aktivitet u mb\u00ebshtet edhe nga drejtori i Shoq\u00ebris\u00eb Uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs Kanalizime Lezh\u00ebs (UK Lezh\u00eb), Zef Ma\u00e7i, i cili fal\u00ebnderoi nx\u00ebn\u00ebsit dhe m\u00ebsueset e shkollave fillore “Gjergj Kastrioti” dhe “Gjergj Fishta” p\u00ebr angazhimin e tyre n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb program, dhe ofroi mb\u00ebshtetjen e tij n\u00eb iniciativa t\u00eb tilla t\u00eb \u00e7muara t\u00eb nd\u00ebrmarra nga SHUKALB.<\/p>\n

T\u00eb nes\u00ebrmen, m\u00eb 6 qershor 2019, p\u00ebrfaq\u00ebsues nga SHUKALB dhe GIZ vizituan qytetin e Kavaj\u00ebs, ku mor\u00ebn pjes\u00eb n\u00eb aktivitetin e organizuar nga shkolla fillore “Fiqiri Kurti”, si pjes\u00eb e festimeve t\u00eb Dit\u00ebs Bot\u00ebrore t\u00eb Mjedisit.\u00a0 Aktiviteti p\u00ebrfshinte performanc\u00ebn e disa k\u00ebng\u00ebve, valleve dhe pjes\u00eb aktrimi n\u00eb lidhje me mbrojtjen dhe ruajtjen e mjedisit.\u00a0 Pas p\u00ebrfundimit t\u00eb aktivitetit, nx\u00ebn\u00ebsit e klasave t\u00eb 8 n\u00ebn mbik\u00ebqyrjen dhe drejtimin e m\u00ebsuesve t\u00eb tyre t\u00eb kimis\u00eb kryen testime t\u00eb ndryshme n\u00eb lidhje me cil\u00ebsin\u00eb e ujit t\u00eb plazhit t\u00eb Golemit.<\/p>\n

T\u00eb nj\u00ebjtat teste u kryen edhe nga t\u00eb gjitha shkollat fillore q\u00eb mor\u00ebn pjes\u00eb n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb program, n\u00eb qytetet e Shkodr\u00ebs, Lezh\u00ebs, Durr\u00ebsit, Kavaj\u00ebs, Peqinit, Cerrikut, Vlor\u00ebs, Himar\u00ebs dhe Sarand\u00ebs.<\/p>\n

T\u00eb dh\u00ebnat e mbledhura nga k\u00ebto teste (pH, temperatura, turbiditeti, DO) u hodh\u00ebn nga student\u00ebt n\u00eb faqen e internetit t\u00eb programit www.worldwatermonitoringchallenge.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Programi i k\u00ebtij viti angazhoi 20 shkolla fillore anemban\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb, duke p\u00ebrfshir\u00eb mbi 1,200 f\u00ebmij\u00eb.\u00a0 Nx\u00ebn\u00ebsit u pajis\u00ebn me disa pajisje t\u00eb thjeshta monitorimi t\u00eb cilat ata p\u00ebrdor\u00ebn p\u00ebr t\u00eb matur kat\u00ebr treguesit kryesor\u00eb t\u00eb cil\u00ebsis\u00eb s\u00eb ujit: oksigjenin e tretur, pH, temperatur\u00ebn dhe turbiditetin e liqeneve, lumenjve, lumenjve, pellgjeve, rezervuar\u00ebve dhe burimeve t\u00eb tjera ujore n\u00eb zonat ku ata jetojn\u00eb.\u00a0 Mostrat u mor\u00ebn n\u00eb nj\u00eb s\u00ebr\u00eb mjedisesh \u2013 bujq\u00ebsore, tregtare, rezidenciale dhe industriale \u2013 n\u00eb 9 qytete n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri.<\/p>\n

SHUKALB has completed successfully the implementation of the World Water Monitoring Challenge (WWMCH) Program for this year. \u00a0The program started on April 2019 and ran till the end of the school year, the time when the participating students reported also the data they had collected on the WWMCH online database (www.worldwatermonitoringchallenge.com<\/a>).\u00a0 SHUKALB was able to implement the program for this year in the frame of the project: “EU Support to Waste Water Management and Treatment Services” co funded by the European Union and German Government and implemented by GIZ.<\/p>\n

On 5th<\/sup> of June 2019, representatives from SHUKALB and GIZ, attended activities organized by the 8th<\/sup> grade students of \u201cGjergj Kastrioti\u201d and \u201cGjergj Fishta\u201d elementary schools in Lezha, on the occasion of the World Environmental Day.\u00a0 Under the supervision of their chemistry teacher, 50 students performed different testing on the water quality of Shengjini beach, by measuring the pH, temperature, turbidity and DO.<\/p>\n

The students were equipped with T-shirts stamped with the logo of World Water Monitoring Challenge Program and test kits that were used for monitoring.<\/p>\n

This activity was also supported and attended by the Director of Lezha Water Supply and Sewerage Company (Lezha WSSC), Mr. Zef Maci, who thanked the students and teachers of \u201cGjergj Kastrioti\u201d and \u201cGjergj Fishta\u201d elementary schools for their commitment to this program, and offered his support in such valuable initiatives undertaken by SHUKALB.<\/p>\n

The next day, on 6th<\/sup> of June 2019, representatives from SHUKALB and GIZ, made a visit in the city of Kavaja, where they attended the activity organized by the elementary school \u201cFiqiri Kurti\u201d, as part of celebrations of World Environment Day.\u00a0 The activity included performance of several songs, dances, and acting sessions related to protection and conservation of the environment. \u00a0After the activity, the 8th<\/sup> grade students under the supervision and guidance of their chemistry teacher performed different testings regarding the water quality of \u201cGolemi\u201d beach.<\/p>\n

The same tests were performed as well by all the other elementary schools who participated in this program, in the cities of Shkodra, Lezha, Durres, Kavaje, Peqin, Cerrik, Vlore, Himara and Saranda.<\/p>\n

The data collected from these tests (pH, temperature, turbidity, DO) have been uploaded by the students on the program website www.worldwatermonitoringchallenge.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The program of this year reached 20 elementary schools across Albania, involving over 1,200 students.\u00a0 The students were provided with some simple monitoring toolkits that they used to sample the four key water quality indicators: dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature and turbidity, of their local lakes, rivers, streams, ponds, reservoirs and other water bodies in the area where they live.\u00a0 Samples were taken in a range of settings \u2013 agricultural, commercial, residential, and industrial \u2013 on 9 cities in Albania.<\/p>\n

This is the 4th<\/sup> year that SHUKALB organizes this program following a MoU with the Ministry of Education, and with the on-site support of its member water and wastewater utilities.\u00a0 The World Water Monitoring Challenge (WWMCH) Program has become one of the most dear programs for students and their teachers, and SHUKALB will continue to look for sources of support to this program in the future.[:]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
