Supply-Sewerage and Waste Infrastructure Agency (AKUM) sent an official letter to all Albanian Water Supply and Sewerage Companies asking them to identify the positions and the respective current staff in these positions that will be subject to Test-Based Certification Program for operational managers of Water Supply and Sewerage Utilities in Albania.<\/p>\n<p>Through this letter, AKUM has started the implementation of the instruction of Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, no. 660, issued on 28 September 2018, on \u201cEstablishing an Institutionalized National Training and Test-Based Certification Program for operational managers of Water Supply and Sewerage Companies (WSSC) in Albania\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The letter explains that the staff of WSSCs subject to Certification includes the levels of Technical Director, Manager, Supervisor and Qualified Employee (managerial and operational positions) respectively for the areas of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Water distribution<\/li>\n<li>Water production and treatment<\/li>\n<li>Wastewater collection<\/li>\n<li>Wastewater treatment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Certification process will go through two phases: the Initial phase: screening and pre-qualification of candidates based on education and experience in the water supply and sewerage sector, and the Second phase: qualification based on training and
