Gjat\u00eb vitit 2019, SHUKALB zhvilloi 7 kurse trajnimi n\u00eb t\u00eb cilat mor\u00ebn pjes\u00eb punonj\u00ebs nga 15 shoq\u00ebri uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs kanalizime anemban\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb, t\u00eb cilat mbuluan tema t\u00eb tilla si pasqyrat financiare, menaxhimi i humbjeve t\u00eb ujit, kampionimi dhe procedurat laboratorike, sh\u00ebrbimi ndaj klientit dhe marr\u00ebdh\u00ebniet me publikun, menaxhimi, cil\u00ebsia e ujit dhe trajtimi i uj\u00ebrave t\u00eb ndotura. \u00a0P\u00ebr vitin 2020 ne jemi t\u00eb p\u00ebrkushtuar t\u00eb vazhdojm\u00eb p\u00ebrpjekjet tona p\u00ebr t\u00eb ofruar dhe zhvilluar kurse trajnimi dhe programe t\u00eb zhvillimit t\u00eb kapaciteteve q\u00eb i p\u00ebrgjigjen nevojave t\u00eb shoq\u00ebrive tona an\u00ebtare uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs kanalizime, dhe m\u00eb gjer\u00ebsisht sektorit t\u00eb ujit, duke p\u00ebrdorur burimet tona, si dhe si pjes\u00eb e partneriteteve p\u00ebrmes aktivitete t\u00eb vazhdueshme rajonale.<\/p>\n

N\u00eb mars 2019 SHUKALB nisi zbatimin e faz\u00ebs s\u00eb par\u00eb t\u00eb Projektit “Menaxhimi i Aseteve n\u00eb Shoq\u00ebrit\u00eb Uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs Kanalizime t\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb”, i cili konsiston n\u00eb regjistrimin e aseteve dhe menaxhimin e t\u00eb dh\u00ebnave t\u00eb rrjetit p\u00ebr 12 shoq\u00ebrit\u00eb UK shqiptare q\u00eb marrin pjes\u00eb n\u00eb projekt. N\u00eb fillim t\u00eb vitit 2020, SHUKALB do t\u00eb p\u00ebrfundoj\u00eb zbatimin e faz\u00ebs s\u00eb par\u00eb dhe do t\u00eb nis\u00eb zbatimin e faz\u00ebs s\u00eb dyt\u00eb t\u00eb projektit, Menaxhimi i Operimit dhe Mir\u00ebmbajtjes.<\/p>\n

Projekti ofrohet n\u00eb kuad\u00ebr t\u00eb Programit \u201cSh\u00ebrbime K\u00ebshillimore p\u00ebr Menaxhimin e Aseteve n\u00eb Shoq\u00ebrit\u00eb Uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs Kanalizime n\u00eb Evrop\u00ebn Juglindor\u201d, i cili zbatohet n\u00ebp\u00ebrmjet nj\u00eb partneriteti midis Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH \u2013 GIZ, Kompanis\u00eb Hydro-Comp n\u00eb Qipro, dhe Shoqat\u00ebs Nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtare t\u00eb Kompanive Uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs Kanalizime n\u00eb Zon\u00ebn e Mbulimit t\u00eb Lumit Danub (IAWD), si pjes\u00eb e D-Leap.<\/p>\n

N\u00eb vazhdim, gjat\u00eb vitit 2019 SHUKALB n\u00eb partneritet me SHUKOS zhvilloi me sukses p\u00ebr t\u00eb 5-t\u00ebn her\u00eb programin e Krahasimit t\u00eb Standardizuar (Benchmarking) p\u00ebr Shqip\u00ebrin\u00eb dhe Kosov\u00ebn. \u00a0N\u00eb vitin 2020, krahas zhvillimit t\u00eb programeve t\u00eb m\u00ebsip\u00ebrme, SHUKALB n\u00eb bashk\u00ebpunim me SHUKOS planifikojn\u00eb t\u00eb ofrojn\u00eb programet Efi\u00e7ienca e Energjis\u00eb dhe Uji pa t\u00eb Ardhura.<\/p>\n

P\u00ebrsa i p\u00ebrket programeve tona t\u00eb \u201cEdukimit dhe Nd\u00ebrgjegj\u00ebsimit\u201d, SHUKALB p\u00ebrfundoi me sukses programin Miqt\u00eb e Ujit p\u00ebr nx\u00ebn\u00ebsit e klasave t\u00eb 3-ta dhe Sfida Bot\u00ebrore e Monitorimit t\u00eb Ujit p\u00ebr nx\u00ebn\u00ebsit e klasave t\u00eb 8-ta.\u00a0 T\u00eb dyja k\u00ebto programe u zbatuan n\u00eb kuad\u00ebr t\u00eb projektit: \u201cMb\u00ebshtetja e BE-s\u00eb p\u00ebr Sh\u00ebrbimet e Menaxhimit dhe Trajtimit t\u00eb Uj\u00ebrave t\u00eb Ndotura\u201d, bashk\u00ebfinancuar nga Bashkimi Evropian dhe Qeveria Gjermane\u201d dhe zbatuar nga GIZ.<\/p>\n

Programi Miqt\u00eb e Ujit arriti objektivin e tij p\u00ebr t\u00eb rritur nd\u00ebrgjegj\u00ebsimin mbi \u00e7\u00ebshtjet e ujit te nx\u00ebn\u00ebsit e klasave t\u00eb 3-ta anemban\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb.\u00a0 Programi angazhoi 44 shkolla fillore n\u00eb t\u00eb gjith\u00eb Shqip\u00ebrin\u00eb, duke p\u00ebrfshir\u00eb mbi 4,500 f\u00ebmij\u00eb. \u00a0Programi u zhvillua n\u00eb partneritet me Ministrin\u00eb e Arsimit, Sportit dhe Rinis\u00eb s\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb, s\u00eb bashku me p\u00ebrfshirjen dhe mb\u00ebshtetjen nga shoq\u00ebrit\u00eb uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs kanalizime n\u00eb shkollat respektive pjes\u00ebmarr\u00ebse n\u00eb Program.<\/p>\n

Programi Sfida Bot\u00ebrore e Monitorimit t\u00eb Ujit q\u00eb kishte p\u00ebr q\u00ebllim edukimin dhe nxitjen e angazhimit p\u00ebr mbrojtjen e burimeve ujore, n\u00ebp\u00ebrmjet pjes\u00ebmarrjes s\u00eb qytetar\u00ebve ne monitorimin e tyre, angazhoi 20 shkolla fillore anemban\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb, duke p\u00ebrfshir\u00eb mbi 1,200 nx\u00ebn\u00ebs.\u00a0 T\u00eb dh\u00ebnat e mbledhura nga k\u00ebto teste (pH, temperatura, turbiditeti, DO) u hodh\u00ebn nga student\u00ebt n\u00eb faqen e internetit t\u00eb programit\u00a0 www.worldwatermonitoringchallenge.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

N\u00eb vitin 2020 SHUKALB do t\u00eb zhvilloj\u00eb programet Sfida Bot\u00ebrore e Monitorimit t\u00eb Ujit dhe \u201cPanairi Shkencor\u201d p\u00ebr Shkollat e Mesme, q\u00eb do t\u00eb p\u00ebrfshijn\u00eb shkollat fillore dhe t\u00eb mesme n\u00eb 6 qytetet bregdetare t\u00eb Shkodr\u00ebs, Lezh\u00ebs, Kavaj\u00ebs, Durr\u00ebsit, Vlor\u00ebs dhe Sarand\u00ebs. Programet do t\u00eb implementohen n\u00eb kuad\u00ebr t\u00eb Programit: “Orientimi i Sh\u00ebrbimeve t\u00eb Furnizimit me Uj\u00eb dhe Kanalizime drejt Performac\u00ebs dhe Konsumatorit” dhe Projektit “Mb\u00ebshtetje e BE-s\u00eb p\u00ebr Sh\u00ebrbimet e Menaxhimit dhe Trajtimit t\u00eb Uj\u00ebrave t\u00eb Ndotura”, i bashk\u00ebfinancuar nga Bashkimi Evropian dhe Qeveria Gjermane\u201d dhe zbatuar nga Organizata Gjermane per Bashk\u00ebpunim Nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtar (GIZ).<\/p>\n

N\u00eb tetor SHUKALB rinovoi grant marr\u00ebveshjen e saj me Projektin Rrjetit Rajonal per Zhvillimin e Kapaciteteve (RCDN), p\u00ebr periudh\u00ebn tetor 2019 – janar 2021. \u00a0RCDN \u00ebsht\u00eb nj\u00eb projekt q\u00eb po implementohet nga Fondi i Hapur Rajonal i GIZ (ORF), me financimin e Qeverive t\u00eb Zvicr\u00ebs dhe Gjermanis\u00eb dhe ka p\u00ebr q\u00ebllim krijimin e nj\u00eb Rrjeti p\u00ebr Zhvillimin e Kapaciteteve Rajonale t\u00eb vet\u00ebq\u00ebndrueshme, me 16 shoqata t\u00eb qeverisjes lokale dhe uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs kanalizime n\u00eb rajon. \u00a0Aktivitetet e planifikuara nga SHUKALB n\u00eb kuad\u00ebr t\u00eb RCDN p\u00ebr vitin 2020 fokusohen kryesisht n\u00eb trajnime n\u00eb lidhje me zbatimin dhe menaxhimin e projekteve infrastrukturore (kryesisht impiante t\u00eb trajtimit t\u00eb uj\u00ebrave t\u00eb ndotura urbane), menaxhimin e aseteve, si dhe shk\u00ebmbime eksperiencash shoq\u00ebrive UK shqiptare me shoq\u00ebri UK n\u00eb rajon. \u00a0Pjes\u00eb e aktiviteteve t\u00eb parashiuara \u00ebsht\u00eb edhe lobimi dhe avokimi, t\u00eb fokusuara kryesisht n\u00eb objektivin e avancimit t\u00eb pun\u00ebs s\u00eb SHUKALB me programet e trajnimit dhe t\u00eb zhvillimit t\u00eb kapaciteteve.<\/p>\n

Pas t\u00ebrmetit shkat\u00ebrrues t\u00eb 26 n\u00ebntorit, SHUKALB luajti nj\u00eb rol proaktiv duke ofruar mb\u00ebshtetjen e tij p\u00ebr shoq\u00ebrit\u00eb uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs kanalizime m\u00eb t\u00eb prekura, kryesisht UK Durr\u00ebs dhe UK Kruj\u00eb. \u00a0N\u00eb koordinim dhe bashk\u00ebpunim me Ambasad\u00ebn e Zvicr\u00ebs n\u00eb Tiran\u00eb, SHUKALB iu bashkua ekipit t\u00eb Nj\u00ebsis\u00eb s\u00eb Swiss Humanitarian Aid t\u00eb cil\u00ebt arrit\u00ebn n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri p\u00ebr t\u00eb ofruar ndihm\u00eb emergjente p\u00ebr ata q\u00eb u prek\u00ebn nga t\u00ebrmeti.<\/p>\n

T\u00eb gjitha k\u00ebto arritje jan\u00eb rezultat i pun\u00ebs s\u00eb madhe t\u00eb stafit t\u00eb Shoqat\u00ebs, mb\u00ebshtetjes s\u00eb Bordit t\u00eb Drejtor\u00ebve dhe p\u00ebrkushtimit t\u00eb an\u00ebtar\u00ebve tan\u00eb.\u00a0 Mbetet akoma shum\u00eb p\u00ebr t\u00eb b\u00ebr\u00eb, por duke marr\u00eb parasysh 20 vitet e fundit; SHUKALB ka provuar se ne mund t\u2019ia dalim mban\u00eb.[:en]\"\"<\/a>To all of our members, supporters and friends, we want to wish you a Most Happy, Joyous and Healthy New Year in 2020.\u00a0 The continuing success that SHUKALB enjoyed this past year is largely the result of the \u201cpartnership\u201d that our Association staff has had with all of our stakeholders, not only in Albania, but across the Western Balkans and beyond.<\/p>\n

During 2019, SHUKALB delivered 7 training courses that were attended by the staff of 15 water utilities across Albania covering topics such as financial statements, water loss management, sampling and laboratory procedures, customer service and public relations, management, water quality and wastewater treatment. \u00a0For 2020 we are committed to continue our efforts to offer and deliver training courses and capacity development programs that respond to the needs of our member water supply and wastewater utilities as well as the broader water sector, using our own resources as well as part of partnerships with ongoing regional activities.<\/p>\n

On March 2019, SHUKALB started the implementation of the first phase of the \u201cAsset Management in Water Supply and Sewerage Utilities of Albania\u201d Project, which consists in asset registration and network data management for the 12 Albanian water supply and sewerage utilities participating in the project.\u00a0 At the beginning of 2020, SHUKALB will complete the implementation of the first phase and will start the implementation of the second phase of the project, the Maintenance Management.<\/p>\n

The Project is being offered in the framework of the \u201cAsset Management Advisory Services to Water Utilities in South-Eastern Europe\u201d Program which is being implemented through a partnership between the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ), Hydro-Comp Enterprises Ltd. Cyprus, and the International Association of Water Supply Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area (IAWD), as part of the D-LeaP.<\/p>\n

In addition, during 2019 SHUKALB in partnership with SHUKOS delivered successfully for the 5th<\/sup> round the Utility Benchmarking program for Albania and Kosova, in the framework of D-LeaP.\u00a0 In 2020, besides continuing the delivery of the above programs, SHUKALB in cooperation with SHUKOS plans to offer the Energy Efficiency and Non Revenue Water Programs.<\/p>\n

In March SHUKALB finalized the implementation of its largest Project Grant, the USAID funded \u201cSustainable Water Sector Capacity Development\u201d Project.\u00a0 One of the major results of this Project was the formal establishment of the Test-based Certification Program for operational managers of Water Supply and Sewerage Companies (WSSCs) in Albania by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy.\u00a0 As a continuation to the work done by SHUKALB under the Project, on September 2019, the National Water Supply-Sewerage and Waste Infrastructure Agency (AKUM) officially launched the implementation of the program by sending an official letter to all Albanian Water Supply and Sewerage Companies asking them to identify the positions and the respective current staff in these positions that will be subject to certification. The Certification process is expected to go through two phases: the Initial phase: screening and pre-qualification of candidates based on education and experience in the water supply and sewerage sector, and the Second phase: qualification based on training and testing.<\/p>\n

The establishment of the Test-based Certification Program for operational managers of Water Supply and Sewerage Companies\u00a0 in Albania has been the result of SHUKALB\u2019s efforts and close cooperation with AKUM and all water sector stakeholders in Albania, and in particular of the partnership with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy of Albania.<\/p>\n

The Annual Balkans Joint Conference and Exhibition, organized in Prishtina, Kosova, on 6, 7, 8, November 2019, reached again its goal to stimulate the dialogue between different stakeholders and offer opportunities for water professionals, policymakers, and business professionals from the sector to discuss issues of concern, exchange information, and share their experiences in an effort to help the further development of the water supply and wastewater sector in the Greater Balkan Region. The Conference marked its highest participation in the history of our conferences, with a record of over 550 participants coming from 16 different countries.<\/p>\n

The participants at the Conference had the opportunity to visit one of the largest Technical Exhibition in the history of our Annual Conferences, which gathered 28 private companies coming from ten (10) different countries from the Balkan region, Europe, as well as Israel.<\/p>\n

Regarding our \u201cOutreach Programs\u201d, SHUKALB has successfully completed the Friends of Water Program for the 3rd<\/sup> Grade Students and the World Water Monitoring Challenge (WWMCH) Program for the 8th<\/sup> Grade Students.\u00a0 Both of these programs were implemented in the frame of the project: \u201cEU Support to Waste Water Management and Treatment Services\u201d co funded by the European Union and German Government.<\/p>\n

The Friends of Water Program reached its objective to raise awareness on water issues among 3rd<\/sup> grade students across Albania.\u00a0 The program reached 44 elementary schools across Albania, involving over 4,500 children.\u00a0 The Program was conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth of Albania, together with involvement and support from the water utilities in the respective schools part of the Program.<\/p>\n

The World Water Monitoring Challenge Program<\/strong> which aims to educate and encourage engagement in the protection of the water resources, through participation in more formal citizen monitoring efforts, reached 20 elementary schools across Albania, involving over 1,200 children.\u00a0 The data collected from the tests (pH, temperature, turbidity, DO) were uploaded by the students on the program website www.worldwatermonitoringchallenge.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2020 SHUKALB will deliver the \u201cWorld Water Monitoring Challenge\u201d and the High school \u201cScience Fair\u201d programs, that will be include elementary and high schools situated in 6 coastal cities of Shkodra, Lezha, Kavaja, Durres, Vlora and Saranda. The programs will be implemented in the frame of the Programme: “Customer and Performance Oriented Drinking Water and Sanitation Service” and the Action \u201cEU Support to Waste Water Management and Treatment Services\u201d co funded by the European Union and German Government and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).<\/p>\n

In October SHUKALB renewed its grant agreement with the Regional Capacity Development Network (RCDN) Project, for the period of October 2019- January 2021. RCDN is a project being implemented by the GIZ-Open Regional Fund (ORF), and financed by the Swiss and German Governments, and aims at establishing a self-sustaining Regional Capacity Development Network, with 16 local government and water associations in the region.\u00a0 The activities planned by SHUKALB in the framework of RCDN\u00a0 for the 2020 focus primarily on training regarding the implementation and management of infrastructure projects (mainly urban wastewater treatment plants), asset management, and the exchange of experience of Albanian water supply and sewerage companies with companies in the region.\u00a0 Part of the planned activities is also the lobbying and advocacy, focused mainly on the objective of advancing SHUKALB’s work with training and capacity building programs.<\/p>\n

Following the devastating earthquake of 26 November SHUKALB played a proactive role in offering its support to the most affected water companies mainly Durres and Kruja Water Supply and Sewerage Companies.\u00a0 In coordination and cooperation with the Swiss Embassy in Tirana, SHUKALB joined the team of Swiss Humanitarian Aid who arrived in Albania to offer emergency response to those affected by the earthquake.<\/p>\n
