Workshopi u organizua bashkarisht me Deutsche Gesellchaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) dhe Hydro-Comp Enterprise HCE, dhe u mb\u00ebshtet nga Ministria e Infrastruktur\u00ebs dhe Energjis\u00eb n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri, si dhe nga Shoqata Nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtare e Kompanive Uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs Kanalizime n\u00eb Zon\u00ebn e Mbulimit t\u00eb Lumit Danub (IAWD).<\/p>\n

M\u00eb 6 shkurt 2020, n\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebjtin vend, para fillimit t\u00eb workshopit, HUB-i i projektit organizoi takimin e dyt\u00eb t\u00eb Komitetit Drejtues. \u00a0Gjat\u00eb takimit u diskutua mbi ecurin\u00eb e zbatimit t\u00eb Projektit, m\u00ebsimet e nxjerra dhe propozimet q\u00eb duhen adresuar n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri dhe Kosov\u00eb, p\u00ebrfshir\u00eb Planin e Projektit dhe nj\u00eb p\u00ebrshkrim t\u00eb shkurt\u00ebr t\u00eb faz\u00ebs s\u00eb ardhshme (Niveli i Art\u00eb).<\/p>\n

Q\u00ebllimi i workshopit t\u00eb dyt\u00eb, i cili filloi pasdite, ishte prezantimi i rezultateve t\u00eb arritura gjat\u00eb faz\u00ebs s\u00eb par\u00eb (Niveli i Argjend\u00eb) t\u00eb projektit dhe gjithashtu prezantimi i faz\u00ebs s\u00eb dyt\u00eb (NIVELI I ART\u00cb) i projektit tek shoq\u00ebrit\u00eb\/kompanit\u00eb publike, shoqatat komb\u00ebtare t\u00eb ujit dhe aktor\u00ebt q\u00ebndror\u00eb\/lokal\u00eb nga Shqip\u00ebria dhe Kosova, donator\u00eb dhe institucione financiare nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtare.<\/p>\n

On 6th<\/sup> and 7th<\/sup> February 2020, at Hotel Hilton Garden Inn in Tirana, SHUKALB and SHUKOS (The Water and Wastewater Works Association Kosovo) organized the second workshop of the \u201cAsset Management Advisory Services to Water Utilities in South East Europe (IAM)\u201d Project for Water Utilities in Albania and Kosovo.<\/p>\n

The workshop was jointly organized with the Deutsche Gesellchaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Hydro-Comp Enterprise (HCE), Cyprus, and it was supported by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy in Albania and the International Association of Water Utilities in the Danube River Catchment Area (IAWD).<\/p>\n

On 6th<\/sup> February 2020, at the same venue prior the workshop, the HUB Centre organized the second Steering Committee meeting. \u00a0During the meeting it was discussed on the progress of the Project implementation, lesson learnt and proposals to be addressed in Albania and Kosovo, including the Project Plan and a short description of the next stage (Gold Level).<\/p>\n

The aim of the 2nd<\/sup> workshop, which started that day in the afternoon, was to present the results achieved during the 1st<\/sup> phase (SILVER LEVEL) of the project and also to introduce the second phase (GOLD LEVEL) of the project to public utility companies, national water associations and central \/ local level stakeholders from Albania and Kosovo, as well as to the donors and IFIs.<\/p>\n

The workshop was attended by representatives from water utilities in Albania and Kosovo, government institutions as Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy (MIE) of Albania, Ministry of Economic Development of Kosovo, National Agency of Water Supply, Sewerage and Waste Infrastructure of Albania (AKUM), State Authority for Geospatial Information (ASIG), Water Regulatory Authority of Albania (ERRU), Water Regulatory Authority of Kosovo (ARRU), donors and international financing institutions such as European Union, the German Development Bank (KfW), World Bank, as well as other stakeholders in the water sector.<\/p>\n

The workshop started with the welcome speeches by Petrit Tare, President of SHUKALB; Muhamed Suliqi, President of SHUKOS; Gabriele Lames, Program Manager, GIZ; Philip Weller, Head of Technical Secretariat, IAWD and Petros Kolovopoulos, Executive Manager, HCE, as well as the congratulatory addresses by Lindita Sotiri, Director, Program Development Directorate on Water Supply, Sewerage, and Waste Infrastructure, Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy of Albania, and Adem Ahmetaj, Senior Officer for Regional Water Utilities Monitoring, Ministry of Economic Development of Kosovo.<\/p>\n

The workshop was jointly moderated by Elisabeta Poci, Deputy Executive Director of SHUKALB and Nadire Vitija, Manager of Training and Professional Development, SHUKOS. \u00a0During the 1st<\/sup> day of the workshop were presented the results of the first phase of the project in the Western Balkans by Georgi Hristov, Project Manager, GIZ ORF MMS, followed by presentations of the results of the first phase of the project in Albania and Kosovo, by the respective HUBs. \u00a0On the second day of workshop, on 7th<\/sup> February, were presented the next stages of the IAM project, the activities and timetable of the implementation, followed by the presentation of the phase II- Gold Level- Maintenance and Management, by Petros Kolovopoulos, Executive Manager, HCE.<\/p>\n

After the presentations of the Silver Level progress and next steps to Gold Level, the participants were engaged to a questions and answer session regarding the specifics and details of the Project.<\/p>\n

SHUKALB and SHUKOS invite all the interested Water and Wastewater Utilities, to register and participate at the \u201cAsset Management \u2013 Advisory Services to Water Utilities in South East Europe\u201d Project\u201d.<\/p>\n
