M\u00eb 31 Janar 2020, n\u00eb Tiran\u00eb, SHUKALB organizoi nj\u00eb sesion trajnimi me pjes\u00ebmarrjen e m\u00ebsuesve t\u00eb biologjis\u00eb dhe kimis\u00eb t\u00eb shkollave 9-vje\u00e7are q\u00eb marrin pjes\u00eb n\u00eb programin ” Sfida Bot\u00ebrore e Monitorimit t\u00eb Ujit”.<\/p>\n

Ky program targeton nx\u00ebn\u00ebsit e klasave t\u00eb 8-ta dhe p\u00ebrfshin 18 shkolla 9-vje\u00e7are nga 6 qytetet bregdetare, Shkod\u00ebr, Lezh\u00eb, Kavaj\u00eb, Durr\u00ebs, Vlor\u00eb dhe Sarand\u00eb. \u00a0Q\u00ebllimi i programit \u00ebsht\u00eb t\u00eb nxis\u00eb edukimin e nx\u00ebn\u00ebsve dhe p\u00ebrfshirjen e tyre n\u00eb mbrojtjen e burimeve ujore.<\/p>\n

N\u00eb fund m\u00ebsuesit u pajis\u00ebn me materialet e nevojshme p\u00ebr monitorimin e parametrave t\u00eb ujit si pH, turbiditeti, temperatura dhe oksigjeni i tretur n\u00eb uj\u00eb, t\u00eb gjitha pjes\u00eb e Test-Kits-eve.<\/p>\n

On 21 February 2020, in Tirana, SHUKALB organized the training session with the participation of the biology, chemistry and physics teachers of the high schools participating at the High school \u201cScience Fair\u201d Program.<\/p>\n

SHUKALB officially launched in January 2020 the implementation of two of its most exciting education and awareness programs, \u201cWorld Water Monitoring Challenge\u201d and High school \u201cScience Fair\u201d Program, both implemented under an agreement and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of Albania. \u00a0Both programs are implemented with the support of the \u201cCustomer and Performance Oriented Drinking Water and Sanitation Services\u201d program, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).<\/p>\n

On 31 January 2020, in Tirana, SHUKALB organized a training session with the participation of the biology and chemistry teachers of the elementary schools that participate at the \u201cWorld Water Monitoring Challenge\u201d program.<\/p>\n

This program targets students of 8th<\/sup> grade and includes 18 elementary schools from 6 coastal cities, Shkoder, Lezhe, Kavaja, Durres, Vlora and Saranda.\u00a0 The program\u2019s goal is to educate and engage students in the protection of the water resources.<\/p>\n

The training was attended also by representatives from GIZ and the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of Albania. The aim of the training was to introduce the program to the teachers and to explain them the necessary instructions for the implementation of the program.<\/p>\n

Elisabeta Po\u00e7i, Deputy Director of SHUKALB, delivered an overall presentation of the Program, objectives and the program\u2019s phases, followed by Fran\u00e7eska Troka, Junior Program Manager of SHUKALB, who introduced participants to the specific activities, usage of Test-Kits and how to upload the monitoring data into the program website http:\/\/www.monitorwater<\/strong>.org<\/strong>\/<\/a>.\u00a0 Alban Kushi, Manager of Member Services, SHUKALB, introduced participants to the importance of the Program\u2019s visibility through SHUKALB communication tools such as Facebook posts, LinkedIn, Burimi articles etc, and shared some publication examples from the implementation of the program over the years.<\/p>\n

At the end the teachers were provided with the materials needed for monitoring water parameters such as pH, turbidity, temperature and oxygen dissolved in water, all part of the Test Kit.<\/p>\n

The High School \u201cScience Fair\u201d program targets 11th<\/sup> grade students and includes 6 high school from Shkoder, Lezhe, Kavaja, Durres, Vlora and Saranda. \u00a0The program goal is to encourage analytic thinking and experimental working between students.\u00a0 This program is a competition in which students create and conduct research through scientific methods.\u00a0 They enable students to investigate a scientific topic by seeking information or by talking to professionals and their teachers.<\/p>\n

The aim of the training session was to introduce teachers to the program\u2019s objectives and phases, and share them the necessary instructions to be followed during the implementation of the program.<\/p>\n

The training was attended also by representatives from GIZ and the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of Albania.<\/p>\n

The program included a detailed presentation held by the SHUKALB staff involved in the program, as well as a discussion session between participants in regard of the possible topics to be implemented.<\/p>\n
