M\u00eb 30 korrik 2020, SHUKALB s\u00eb bashku me SHUKOS (Shoqata e Uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebsve dhe Kanalizimit t\u00eb Kosov\u00ebs) organizuan me sukses webinarin me tem\u00eb “Planet e Siguris\u00eb s\u00eb Ujit dhe Menaxhimi i Krizave \u2013 Mjete t\u00eb nevojshme n\u00eb menaxhimin e Shoq\u00ebrive Uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs Kanalizime”, me mb\u00ebshtetjen e Shoqat\u00ebs Nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtare t\u00eb Shoq\u00ebrive t\u00eb Ujit n\u00eb Rajonin e Danubit (IAWD) si dhe me mb\u00ebshtetjen e Energie AG, n\u00eb kuad\u00ebr t\u00eb Partneritetit t\u00eb Danubit (D-LeaP).<\/p>\n

Webinari kishte p\u00ebr q\u00ebllim t\u00eb trajtonte r\u00ebnd\u00ebsin\u00eb e zhvillimit t\u00eb planeve t\u00eb Siguris\u00eb s\u00eb Ujit dhe Menaxhimit t\u00eb Krizave nga Shoq\u00ebrit\u00eb Uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs Kanalizime, si mjete t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00ebsishme p\u00ebr t’ju p\u00ebrgjigjur si\u00e7 duhet fatkeq\u00ebsive dhe rreziqeve, duke ruajtur nd\u00ebrkoh\u00eb sigurin\u00eb e sh\u00ebrbimeve t\u00eb furnizimit me uj\u00eb dhe kanalizime, konsideruar kjo dhe n\u00eb kuad\u00ebr t\u00eb kriz\u00ebs s\u00eb shkaktuar nga Covid-19.<\/p>\n

On 30 July 2020, SHUKALB jointly with SHUKOS (the Water and Wastewater Works Association of Kosovo) organized successfully the webinar on \u201cWater Safety and Crisis Management \u2013 Essential Management Tools for Water Utilities\u201d, with support of the International Association of Water Supply Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area (IAWD), as well as Energie AG, in the framework of the Danube Learning Partnership (D-LeaP).<\/p>\n

The aim of this webinar was to address the importance of developing Water Safety and Crisis Management plans by water utilities in Albania and Kosovo as important tools to properly respond to disasters and risks, while maintaining safe delivery of the critical water supply and sanitation services, especially relevant to the Covid-19 crisis.<\/p>\n

The webinar was attended by 65 participants, representing various institutions from Albania, Kosovo, the region and beyond, to include among others water utilities, the respective Water Regulatory Authorities of Albania and Kosovo, Ministry of Health in Albania, Institute of Public Health in Kosovo, water utility associations from the region, GIZ Water Program in Albania, private companies, as well as professionals and other stakeholders of the water supply and sewerage sector.<\/p>\n

The webinar was jointly moderated by Elisabeta Poci, Deputy Executive Director, SHUKALB and Nadire Vitija, Manager for Training and Professional Development, SHUKOS.<\/p>\n

Participants were introduced to topics such as Methodology of Crisis Management, Crisis Management Manual, Risk Management, and Risk Reporting\/Basic Trainings for WSP and CM, presented by Christian Plohberger, Energie AG, D-LeaP Technical Partner for the Water Safety and Crisis Management Program. During his presentation Mr. Plohberger engaged the participants through using of question polls that related to the presentation topics.<\/p>\n

The webinar continued with statements from Ndricim Shani, Chairman of the Water Regulatory Authority of Albania; Afrim Laj\u00e7i, Inter-Ministerial Water Council, Office of the Prime Minister, Kosovo; and Xhelal Selmani, Deputy Director of the Water Services Regulatory Authority of Kosova, who highlighted the importance of Water Safety and Crisis Management \u00a0Plans. Their statements were followed by a lively interaction with the participants who addressed their questions and comments in the chat panel of the zoom platform.<\/p>\n

At the end of the webinar, both moderators thanked the panelists for their valuable contribution and the shared ideas, as well as the participants for their active engagement. Both associations, SHUKALB and SHUKOS, plan to move forward jointly to offer a program on developing Water Safety and Crisis Management Plans for water utilities, in the framework of the D-LeaP, with support of the International Association of Water Service Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area (IAWD).<\/p>\n
