The \u201cFriends of Water\u201d Program is a program dedicated to 3<sup>rd<\/sup> grade students of elementary schools, and SHUKALB has been organizing it each year, since 2007 in partnership under a formal MoU with the Ministry of Education.<\/p>\n<p>The program this years, involves a total of 26 water utilities and 66 elementary schools from different cities across Albania.\u00a0 The implementation of the program for 6 water supply and sewerage companies and 26 elementary schools in the Municipalities of Tropoje, Diber, Klos Himare, Ura-Vajgurore and Devoll, is being implemented with support of the \u201cAccompanying Measures Rural Water Supply III\u201d Program, funded by the German Development Bank KfW and the Albanian Development Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The orientation sessions were opened by Elisabeta Poci, Executive Director of SHUKALB and conducted by Olta Alla, Manager of Programs of SHUKALB, who presented the program content and objectives, materials, water cycle in nature, water resources, drinking water treatment, how to save water, wastewater treatment etc. \u00a0The participants received guidance and orientation on how to use the program materials, teacher\u2019s guide, the program schedule, as well as other related logistics of the program.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the participants received the program materials to include the children\u2019s booklet, teacher\u2019s guide, drawing sheets and posters of the program.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4534\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4534\" style=\"width: 1680px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/shukalb.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Orientation-FoW_Oct-21Online.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4534\" src=\"http:\/\/shukalb.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Orientation-FoW_Oct-21Online.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1680\" height=\"1050\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4534\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>During the online orientation session with teachers and the representatives of water utilities representatives, delivered on 22 October 2021.<\/em><br \/><em>Photo Credit: SHUKALB<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Based on the orientation received at these sessions and the use of program materials, the teachers will continue the implementation of the program at their respective schools.<\/p>\n<p>The program combines instructions on key learning principles regarding water, with work activities that engage the student and reinforce the learning principles.\u00a0 At the end of the program, each student is asked to express what they have learned by the program in a drawing.\u00a0 The drawings will be collected and evaluated at the local level, and the three best drawings from each school become part of a National Exhibit \u201cWater through the Eyes of Children\u201d that SHUKALB will organize in December 2021.<\/p>\n<p>[:]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; On 12 and 22 of October 2021, SHUKALB organized orientation sessions for the teachers of elementary schools, as well as the representatives of water utilities, who are participating in<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[213],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-4561","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-newsletter"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4561","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=4561"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4561\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=4561"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=4561"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=4561"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
