Gjithashtu, para Forumit si nj\u00eb event m\u00eb vete n\u00eb 28 Qershor, u organizua trajnimi mbi Mentorimin e Profesionist\u00ebve t\u00eb Rinj t\u00eb Ujit (PRU) nga Shqip\u00ebria dhe Kosova mbi Efi\u00e7ienc\u00ebn e Energjis\u00eb, me titull “Efi\u00e7enca e p\u00ebrdorimit t\u00eb energjis\u00eb elektrike n\u00eb sektorin e sh\u00ebrbimit t\u00eb ujit n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri dhe Kosov\u00eb\u201d. Trajnimi mblodhi 15 PRU nga Shqip\u00ebria dhe Kosova, q\u00eb p\u00ebrfaq\u00ebsonin shoq\u00ebrit\u00eb uj\u00ebsjell\u00ebs kanalizime, AKUM, ERRU, si dhe sektorin privat. We at SHUKALB are thrilled to have been the host and co-organizer of the 2022 Danube Water Forum, themed \u201cEnergizing the Water Sector in the Danube Region\u201d, held in Tirana, on 28-29 June. \u00a0The journey we started almost 10 years ago under the Danube Water Program has taken us to another level of development as an association, providing us with capacity development programs for our member water utilities under the D-LeaP, opportunities for us as an association to become stronger, and now being in a position to host one of the flagships of DWP, the Danube Water Forum.<\/p>\n

The Forum started on June 28th<\/sup> in the afternoon, with the Opening Session: Water and Energy in Europe, which brought together 200 people from national and local governments, regulatory agencies, water utilities and professional associations as well as academia, from all the countries in the Danube region and beyond. \u00a0The participants at the opening session were welcomed by H.E. Enkelejda Mu\u00e7aj, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy of Albania, who proudly welcomed the participants to European Youth Capital 2022 Tirana, from Elisabeth Gruber of the Austrian Ministry of Finance, who was the first speaker to address the Forum online, from World Bank Practice Manager Winston Yu, and from IAWD President Walter Kling.<\/p>\n

SHUKALB was represented at the Forum program by its President, Petrit Tare and the Executive Director, Elisabeta Po\u00e7i.\u00a0 Mrs. Poci was featured at several roles in the Forum, as panelist at the session \u201cSetting the Scene: The Energy Market and Effects on Utilities in the Danube Region<\/em>\u201d; as the chair of the session \u201cCreating an Enabling Environment to (De-) Energize the Water Sector: Capacity Building, Policy, and Regulation<\/em>\u201d, as well as panelist at the 2022 Danube Water Forum: Closing Session<\/em>, on 29th<\/sup> of June.<\/p>\n

The Forum was attended by a large Albanian delegation of representatives of water utilities, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, Water Regulatory Authority (WRA), National Agency for Water Supply, Sewerage and Waste Infrastructure (AKUM), Water Resources Management Agency.\u00a0 Other Albanian speakers part of the Forum Program were Ndricim Shani<\/strong>, Chairman, Albanian Water Regulatory Authority, and Gazmend Daci<\/strong>, Senior Energy Specialist, World Bank, who were featured as panelists at the session \u201cSetting the Scene: The Energy Market and Effects on Utilities in the Danube Region\u201d<\/em>; Eduart Rumani<\/strong>, National Programme, Officer at Swiss Embassy in Albania, as a panelist at the session \u201cFinancing Energy Related Measures in the Water Services Sector\u201d; <\/em>Klevis Jahaj<\/strong>, Director, National Agency for Water Supply, Sewerage and Waste Infrastructure, who held a presentation on \u201cAlbania Water Sector Modernization Program: An innovative approach to achieve the once in a lifetime water sector reform\u201d<\/em>, as well as joined the panel discussion at the session \u201cCreating an Enabling Environment to (De-) Energize the Water Sector: Capacity Building, Policy, and Regulation \u201c; <\/em>Evis Gjebrea<\/strong>, Deputy General Director, Tirana Water and Wastewater Utility and Alba Zhori<\/strong>, Head of Performance Sector, Albanian Water Resources Management Agency, who were both featured as panelist at the session \u201cCreating an Enabling Environment to (De-) Energize the Water Sector: Capacity Building, Policy, and Regulation\u201c. <\/em><\/p>\n
