responsible for communal affairs (water services), PUC top and middle management, Line ministries, regulators, RCDN Focal Points from LGAs and APUCs and other relevant staff.<\/li>\n<li>Designated IAM Training Module (1 day): Staff of LGU departments responsible for communal affairs, PUC top and middle management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong><span class=\"fontstyle0\">What will you learn?<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"fontstyle0\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Introductory IAM Training Module (1 day):<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle2\">General Aspects <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\">of Integrated Asset Management: what is IAM, objectives and benefits of IAM, getting started in IAM planning and change in business culture<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Legal Aspects <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\">of IAM: legal framework in managing the assets at the local governance unit (LGU) level, ownership on infrastructure assets (water and<br \/>\nwastewater infrastructure), level of service (LoS), public service agreement (PSA) between LGUs and public utility companies (PUCs),<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Institutional Aspects <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\">of IAM: organization of IAM at the level of LGUs and PUCs, roles and responsibilities in managing assets, IAM procedures at the level of LGUs and PUCs, asset registry and bookkeeping of assets, needs for revalorization of assets, IAM towards the tariff policy\/structure, communication and coordination of IAM activities between LGUs and PUCs.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Designated IAM Training Module (1 day):<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle3\">Technical Aspects of Integrated Asset Management: planning of IAM, managing the lifecycle of infrastructure assets, development of complete asset registry, asset maintenance procedures, asset lifetime and deterioration of assets including critical assets, asset rehabilitation, AM software in function of asset management, monitoring performance and improvement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle3\">Financial Aspects of Integrated Asset Management: Inventory of the fixed assets, revalorization of assets, depreciation of assets, financial management of the assets, IAM and business planning, financing the communal services on full cost recovery principles, funding strategy and capital investment planning.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Main benefits:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Participants understand the IAM concept and its importance, objectives and benefits and they recognize how to apply IAM principles in their job \/ working places (environment);<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Participants are familiarized with IAM legal and institutional framework and understand their IAM roles and responsibilities;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Collaborative approach to IAM at the LGU level is supported through joint capacity development of the LGU and PUC.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Participants learn about asset registry, criticality and whole\u00adlife costing of water service assets and expand their knowledge on revalorization process and IAM funding strategy;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Participants are acquainted with IAM procedures at the LGU level.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Collaborative approach to IAM at the LGU level is supported through joint capacity development.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Training methodology:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"fontstyle0\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">The training is interactive and includes:<br \/>\n(1) Presentations,<br \/>\n(2) Discussions,<br \/>\n(3) Practical exercises through group work<br \/>\n(4) Case sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Who we are?<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"fontstyle0\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">RCDN aims to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the water utilities in the Southeast Europe, contributing to better service provision with larger numbers of population groups getting access to drinking water and sanitation services and meeting the European Union (EU) environmental Acquis Communautaire.<br \/>\nTo achieve this, RCDN has main focus on three key areas: 1) Association Development, 2) Capacity Development Offer and Delivery and 3) Partnership and enabling Capacity Development Environment. RCDN is partnership of 16 national associations (LGAs and APUCs) in 6 project countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia).
