Validation and Coordination Meeting with Stakeholders on Training Needs Assessment of Water Supply and Sewerage Companies in Albania<\/strong><\/h1>\n

On 23rd<\/sup> of February 2024, SHUKALB successfully organized the meeting on Validation and Coordination with Stakeholders on Training Needs Assessment of Water Supply and Sewerage Companies in Albania. The meeting was held in Tirana by physical presence as well as with online participation via zoom.<\/p>\n

Thirty participants attended the meeting, representing water utility companies, the National Agency for Water Supply and Sewerage of Albania (AKUK), the Water Regulatory Authority of Albania (ERRU), World Bank, GIZ, the Albanian Development Fund and trainers of SHUKALB network. The meeting was moderated by Elisabeta Poci, Executive Director of SHUKALB and Jonida Ahmeti, Training and Professional Development Manager of SHUKALB.<\/p>\n

The meeting was organized in the framework of the project Regional Capacity Development Network for Water and Sanitation Services (RCDN+), aiming to facilitate information sharing, validation, and collaborative planning for the capacity development of water supply and sewerage companies and fostering a coordinated effort among different stakeholders with a specific focus on implementing effective capacity development measures within the water sector.<\/p>\n

The participants were presented with an insightful report derived from the Training Needs Assessment (TNA) survey, conducted by SHUKALB at the beginning of this year, which highlighted key areas of concern and priority training needs identified among the Water Supply and Sewerage Companies in Albania. Participants were engaged in open discussions related to the results of the TNA, gave valuable feedback and their views on the identified training needs, as well as recommendations to include additional indicators in the survey to have a more complete overview of training needs.<\/p>\n

Following the results of the discussions and feedback received during the meeting, SHUKALB will refine its training calendar for year 2024.<\/p>\n
