SHUKALB Successfully Finalizes the D-LeaP Asset Management Program<\/strong><\/h1>\n

During September and October 2024, SHUKALB successfully delivered the D-LeaP Asset Management Program to several Regional Water Supply and Sewerage companies, including those from Berat, Vlore, Shkoder, Elbasan, Fier, and Lezhe. This program was made possible through the invaluable support from the Danube Learning Partnership (D-LeaP) and the Municipal Infrastructure Program V.<\/p>\n

The program’s primary objective was to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop an effective Asset Management Plan (AMP), ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and longevity of their utility assets. By focusing on the strategic management of assets, the program aimed to empower these companies to optimize their performance and ensure sustainable services for the future.<\/p>\n

The program included three intensive workshops, where participants delved into a wide range of topics, including Asset Inventory, Data Management Systems, Level of Service, Critical Assets and Asset Life Cycle Management, Long-Term Financing Strategy. These workshops not only provided theoretical insights but also offered hands-on practical exercises. Participants were actively engaged in activities that included the registration of \u00a0assets in Excel format, identification of critical assets vital to their operations, and the drafting of an Asset Management action plan.<\/p>\n

Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive. Many highlighted that the program not only broadened their understanding of asset management but also provided valuable tools and methodologies that will directly enhance their daily operations. Several participants noted that the knowledge gained would be instrumental in improving the efficiency and sustainability of their utilities.<\/p>\n

Special thanks are due to our expert trainers Sokol Kraja, Nevila Saliu, Etleva Demiri from the Water Regulatory Authority (ERRU), and Belina Belortaja, a GIS Expert, whose exceptional guidance and technical support throughout the program were crucial to its success.<\/p>\n
