{"id":9950,"date":"2026-10-07T12:35:47","date_gmt":"2026-10-07T10:35:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/?p=9950"},"modified":"2026-10-07T12:35:47","modified_gmt":"2026-10-07T10:35:47","slug":"elisabeta-poci-represents-ewa-at-the-launch-of-the-european-water-academy-in-brussels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/?p=9950&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Elisabeta Po\u00e7i Represents EWA at the Launch of the European Water Academy in Brussels"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong>Elisabeta Po\u00e7i Represents EWA at the Launch of the European Water Academy in Brussels<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Elisabeta-European-Water-Academy.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-9949\" src=\"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Elisabeta-European-Water-Academy-300x200.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shukalb.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Elisabeta-European-Water-Academy-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/shukalb.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Elisabeta-European-Water-Academy-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/shukalb.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Elisabeta-European-Water-Academy.png 831w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>SHUKALB Executive Director Elisabeta Po\u00e7i, representing the European Water Association (EWA) as Vice-President, took part in the official launch of the European Water Academy (EUWA) in Brussels on 21 September 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The European Water Academy is a a flagship action under the remit of the European Water Resilience Strategy (COM(2025) 280) that creates a Europe\u2011wide portfolio of labelled training and skill\u2011development programmes for a water-resilient Europe. \u00a0Led by the Joint Research Center (JRC), the academy aims to address capacity needs in Europe\u2019s water sector and to bridge research and real-world application of technologies by offering advanced training, supporting innovation, and fostering collaboration between public and private actors across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The European Water Association has been a promoter of the European Water Academy since the beginning, and has contributed its \u201cIntroduction Course to EU Water Policy and Legislation\u201d to the Academy, becoming this way one of the Academy\u2019s First Champions. Speaking for EWA, Elisabeta highlighted the importance of investing in people alongside infrastructure, finance and technology. She emphasized the Academy\u2019s potential to bridge policy and practice, strengthen cross-border professional networks and build on the training and capacity-development work already carried out by water associations, water utilities, universities and professional organizations across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>For SHUKALB, Elisabeta\u2019s participation reflects the Association\u2019s longstanding engagement in European and regional water-sector networks, while the European Water Academy offers a valuable opportunity to further connect the Albanian and the larger Western Balkans community of water sector professionals, to European knowledge, expertise and professional development opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>The launch also highlighted the contribution of the Danube region to the Academy\u2019s learning agenda.
